i am a slow roleplayer. not only do i get distracted easily, i get overwhelmed easily. sometimes i can’t talk and do drafts at the same time so i am sorry if i ignore your message. i am deliberate and methodical with every word choice. i like to spend my time on my writing and getting to that emotional level within myself to evoke a proper response with each reply. i’m not good at whipping out thread after thread. i never have been. i’m sorry if that’s the way you roleplay and i don’t match up, but i like to think the quality of the writing makes up for my lack of speed. thank you so much!

she getscomplimented a lot. like a lot to the point that she starts to hate thembecause her beauty is what they only see on her. it was one of this moment whenshe truly felt complimented by someone she cares about. a friend she grew tolove and care for whenever she would step foot in seoul. she blinked once ortwice, processing the words that came out of her lips. also being shocked andembarrassed that she probably invaded her space for the other to see her eyesup close. “oh um— thank you bobae.” she said, slowly moving away from aposition she was not supposed to be in. cliché moment but she just happens toput back one of the books that were scattered around and put it where she was located,her face almost close to the other. it felt brand new. the feeling of it swirlsaround her chest like a flower blossoming again in field for the first time onspring day. “yours is way more beautiful. i see how they shine often whenever iwould come over. is it because i’m the star of your store?” she smirkedplayfully, obviously teasing her.  therewas a hint of seriousness as well as she likes how cozy her shop is. it feelslike a home she would always come back to even when she’s far away.

she picked upanother book, observing and checking for a sign of where the location shouldbe. arin isn’t into reading much as she can only handle a few excerpts andparagraphs and once in a while can finish one book if her mood lets her. most ofthe time she likes to lean in more to the modern technology human has created,an audio book. “hm, if you were to suggest me a book to read what would it be?”the girl turned around to face the other, her brows quirking up, very curiousas to what she would say or respond. “I feel like I should be reading more andmore but i have been a bit busy back in busan. i’m going back in a few days, maybe i can start reading one on my way home.”

 it’s in arin’s nature to torture dooyoung. not literal torture but a harmless and playful one. “oh yong, don’t you think you’re pushing out your inner actor in you to be this dramatic?” she tells him playfully as she rub her now aching feet and legs from all the walking they did. who knew buying a new furniture at ikea could be this tiring? in her personal opinion, if you like what you see you get it. but with dooyoung, picking should be smart. “we’ve been walking for—” she stop mid sentence to check the time on her watch that is circled around her wrist. “honestly i have no idea but i’m pretty sure the whole STORE know both of our faces already.” to be fair they were only in there for two and half hours. emphasize on number two.

“if you want to go back inside you can,” she offers, relaxing herself in best position as possible on an empty bench they found out front. “i will be waiting right…” she puts down her bag right next to her to save the spot for him, only for him then taps the same spot. “here.” arin tried her best to send him a sincere smile. “and for the record, you’re not a loser. you can bribe me with their meatballs though. i heard it’s good.” her head nods towards wherever ikea’s food court is. the thing with her is, her body cannot digest human food. not even a simple bread can do but she’s willing to try them. “two plates of meatball sounds good for another round in ikea or what?”

 ( LATE NIGHT WANDERING STARTERS for @daemonry​ )

  worried. that’s the term she was looking for. she was worried for him. technically she isn’t responsible for his decisions to leave in the middle of the night under her supposedly treat night out but she is still worrying. he can handle himself.  he is quite younger than her, she knew that but it’s almost midnight and wait— do they still have curfews? arin shut up, he’s old enough to walk and go home. “i know you do, but i just want to be sure you’ll be able to get there without a problem.” she spoke softly towards the other as she gather up everything she had with her which was only a mini purse and her phone. she is usually not a big fan of carrying a lot of stuff specially on a late night hangout like this one.

grabbing her keys from inside the purse, she waited for him to at least give her a proper answer about her offer. “just let me drive you? i feel like i won’t be able to sleep tonight if something—” she paused mid sentence before knocking on the wooden table they were sitting at. “okay knock on wood before i continue, if something bad happens to you.” she continued. she let out a small huff, her eyes trying to read the expression he’s giving her. “well i mean you can say no.” she added with a small voice but avoiding any eye contact to prevent any embarrassment if he DID say no. “and that’s okay, that is totally okay.”

arin is just used to being an older sister towards him that she couldn’t help but take care of him. she never had any younger siblings considering she is the youngest herself. it’s her protective side coming in. “do i have to sing yes or yes by twice?” she nudge him, a bit of tease lacing through her voice. “just kidding, don’t. that would be too embarrassing.”

 ( LATE NIGHT WANDERING STARTERS for @illblooded

   arin will never get use to the concept of sleeping. living on land for more than six years, you would think someone like her would be able to cope and manage to jump in the train of any other human activities provided for them including sleeping— but nope! not at all. her nights were mostly spent binge watching some shows or even reading a book. easy and simple. she could stay awake all night and never get tired by the following day. it’s just one of the big difference she has compared with a full form human. luckily, she learned how to pretend to sleep (saves her a lot when a group of friends tries to invite her for a sleepover.) so when her phone started ringing in the middle of the night interrupting her show, she hesitated for a bit before answering it. 

the name ‘seongil ( only wants free cakes! )’ came flashing on her screen, the name is obviously for humor. the time reads 1:24 am. “wait.. how did you know i’m still up?” she asked jokingly, though curious as to how he knew. well, she did answer the phone which gave it away that she is in fact awake. she shook her head as soon as she realized that he would probably say the same thing. “um, i’m currently finishing a show. can’t sleep so i decided to just stay up.” she replied to his question, as she click the pause button on her remote. “is there something wrong? should i be worried?” the first thing that came on her head is that he could be in trouble. but knowing how he is she knows he can handle himself pretty well.
