Sometimes I think about the time I went to a restaurant with my ex, and as soon as we walked in I started coughing and couldn't stop. That had never happened before; it was like a sudden case of very dry throat and I had see myself outside to continue coughing uncontrollably for about 5 minutes. When I came back in, tears streaming down my face from coughing so long, my ex was sitting there calmly and unconcernedly looking over the menu.
If anyone I'd been with had a sudden coughing fit, I'd have asked for a glass of water and stood outside with them until the problem had passed. The fact that he didn't even think of that made me so angry and hurt that I demanded we just go home.
This will always remain in memory as an example of the thoughtlessness of men, the selfishness, and the lack of empathy or concern for other people - even those they profess to care about. Women are connected to others and don't need to have it explained to them that another person, especially one they're close to, is in pain and needs assistance. It would have been common sense in this situation. Men are disconnected and need to have these things explained to them slowly in simple language, and it's pathetic.
Why bother trying to build a life with a person who you have to painstakingly train to be a real human being?

Open ended question-
I found out my boyfriend watches porn. I know that he loves me, but it still hurts me deeply, and while I love him, if this habit is to continue it may be a dealbreaker for me. I asked him to stop, and he said that he would try. I really thought he was different. I really thought he wasn't like the others. I'm lost at what to do. I don't want to lose him, but I just can't condone him doing this. Feel free to give suggestions in rb or tags.
Do I
Have another conversation with him about why I'd like him to stop
Accept his usage and let it be
Set guidelines as to how I'd prefer he used it
As you can see, I'm a bit lost. Suggestions are more than welcome.
yeah i already know the answer you're going to get
