Kaze blinked in surprise as she turned to see Quinn, before she nodded and gave a sheepish chuckle. “Oh, yeah, heh!” She blushed in a bit of embarrassment, untying the apron she had put on and setting it on a hook on the wall. “Actually, it’s for all of us~” She chirped. “Mum still at work??”
Quinn and Dolly didn’t seem to really be home quite yet, and Kaze knew the two had been working pretty hard recently. She’d thought about ways to thank them or surprise them, and luckily an idea had just popped into her head. Why not make them dinner? She could cook, and it may be while before they’d come home, so she had time, so why not??
The inkling hopped up from the couch and quickly went into the kitchen, quickly grabbing multiple ingredients for a ‘family’ meal, and as she began to prep, she began to sing; something she didn’t do around the others. “Come warm your bones, make yourself at home, darling smile! We are right as rain.. Oh we all need love, that simple love, and we are whole again..”
Her melodic voice echoed through the home as she happily prepared the meal, dancing through the kitchen. What a goofball.

Kaze face was dusted with a light violet, and she quickly turned around. “! O-Oh, hey, Mum!” She flashed a sheepish grin, laughing softly. “Y-Yeah, I tend to sing when I cook, no big deal, really!” She decided to lean against the fridge, crossing her arms. “Anyways, erm, how was work with dad?”

Her tearstained face barely lifted up from her pillow to look up at Dolly. She bit her lip and her eyes shot over to anything that wasn’t her, and she shook her head. “I-It’s.... It’s stupid--” She choked out, furrowing her brows as tears continued to roll down her cheeks. “I-Ill be fine.” Kaze huffed. Color had drained from her tentacles and freckles and she had lost her luminous, violet glow. She bit her lip and shoved her face back into the pillow, choking out a few more sobs.
“G-God, I’m so stupid-”
Pattering of rain on a window sounded in the room of the inkling, and she was usually happy to see it. Though, today she was… Not acting like she usually did. She had been leaned back against the wall, huddled up and hugging a pillow to her chest that her face was shoved into. Her chubby frame trembled as she clutched the pillow, soft whimpers emitting from her. She hadn’t come out of her room all day, and… Well, something had to be wrong. Usually Kaze would be in a Turf War by now.

*WHAM*
The door was kicked open by the short, chubby inkling slinging her Sploosh-O-Matic over her shoulder with a proud look on her pale, freckled face. She smirked and headed towards the living room, leaning in the doorway. “Hey guys.” Kaze chuckled, tipping her hat up. “Guess who had a good day in her battles today!” She stuck her tongue out, pointing her own thumbs at herself.

"Yeah... I guess you're right...." A sigh escaped the inkling's lips as she sat by Dolly, removing her hat and setting it to the side. It was revealed there was a large bruise right on the side of her head, and she rubbed it with a groan of pain. "Gah, man that really hurts.... Does it look bad..?" She asked, before trying to hold her head up to temporarily stop the nosebleed.
Turf War, not too much of a big deal, all good fun, right??… Wellll…. Wrong. Kaze had seen Dolly in the lobby, but… Oh god, she didn’t see her at the spawn point. Fuck. Anxiety ran through her veins already as she clutched her Sploosh-A-Matic close, and the Turf War began. FEAR.
