It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas!
Perhaps the minute my family left right after Thanksgiving, I put up all my Christmas decorations and my tree. But, what can I say? i love Christmas. I’ve also been listening to Christmas music since the beginning of November so it’s shocking I waited this long.

BLAINE: Hey! My dad was here for Thanksgiving and told me you're living here now. I wish I had known, I'd have absolutely offered to have you over for Thanksgiving. It was just my parents, myself, and Cooper.
BLAINE: We should catch up at some point as it's been god - forever.

It has been so great having my family and Cooper in town for Thanksgiving. They flew in late on Tuesday night, Wednesday, I took them to watch a friend from college film the Thanksgiving Parade performance for Dear Evan Hansen, and tonight was a really great dinner. Tomorrow, they are coming to see the show, so it’s a nice way to end their time in town. Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving.

Sounds pretty awesome. Charity events and projects were always some of my favorite things to do and be a part of back in the NFL days. Wait, you were a Mormon? I didn’t know you used to be religious.
Yeah, it’s a really great time. It’s one of my favorite things we do in the Broadway community to give back to people who are less fortunate. What? No, no - I was in Book of Mormon. You saw me in it. I’m not a Mormon.

FINN: Sounds good, dude.
FINN: Saturday 2 pm? Maybe two tickets, I could ask Marley to tag along or something if she wants to.
BLAINE: Great!
BLAINE: All set for Saturday at 2. Just pick up the tickets at the box office - they are under your name.

Ryder: Thanks man.
Ryder: Ooh that sounds exciting. What kind of new projects? Or are they all top secret?
Blaine: You're welcome.
Blaine: A little top secret at the moment, but once I'm okay to say I will. It's been really cool to do something a little bit different.

That’s pretty crazy, but I approve 100%. Oh cool, that’s like a charity thing, right?
We’re very much Christmas people in my company. Yeah! Every show on and off Broadway records a song and they make an album of them and we sell them to raise money for Broadway Cares. It’s a really great organization, plus it’s always fun to pick a song to sing. When I was in Mormon, our composers wrote a song for us to do on the album which was awesome.

When Blaine had brought up the idea of karaoke, Santana jumped at the chance. Some might not believe it but Santana genuinely liked to participate in karaoke - she found singing to her favorite songs at the top of her lungs to be quite the stress reliever. Also, it gave her an opportunity to see just drunk Blaine could get. Well, that is if he wanted to drink. She was definitely encouraging it.
She arrived to the karaoke venue first and decided to wait outside for Blaine. Just as she was about to send him a message, she noticed him approaching her. “Ready for a night of fun, Anderson?” She asked, her lips quirking up into a grin. “Hope you don’t have any plans tomorrow because we’re gonna have some real fun tonight.”
It had been awhile since Blaine had spent time with Santana and karaoke was always a good time, so the two together were sure to be a blast. Things had been a bit busy as of late between Jersey Boys and a couple callbacks for a couple upcoming projects, so Blaine could certainly use a night to destress and just have a good time.
Approaching the karaoke place, Blaine spotted Santana and smiled as she mentioned having a fun night. “Yes, I am totally ready - it’s been a busy last couple of weeks, so I’m ready to blow off some steam.” Blaine said with a chuckle at Santana mentioning him not having any plans for the following day. “My schedule is pretty clear for the most part, so not much to worry about.” Blaine said as he led the way into the karaoke place.
“You haven’t lived until you’ve seen me sing some Katy Perry.” Blaine said glancing back at Santana as they approached the front area of the karaoke place.

task: 001
5 character traits of blaine devon anderson;
001: natural performer || from an early age, blaine was born to be a performer. from his parents living room to performing with the warblers, blaine performed with such ease and made it all seem incredibly effortless. even now with having performed on broadway and on tour, he continues to prove he’s simply a natural.
002: hopeless romantic || blaine has always been a bit of a hopeless romantic and always found himself wanting a romance like sandy and danny in grease or a couple in any of the romantic comedies he would see. meeting kurt at a mall when performing with the warblers felt like a meet cute out of one of those movies and he fell head over heels for him. though things haven’t been easy, blaine hopes they’ll find their way back to each other.
003: wearer of bow ties and bright colors || people love to bring up his bowties, but blaine is proud of them and loves putting a little something extra in his wardrobe. when it comes to clothes, he tends to pick brighter colors that are warm, welcoming, and have patterns that show off a little of his personality, too.
004: supportive || when it comes to his friends and family, blaine is always there to support the ones he love and holds close. winter, spring, summer or fall, blaine will always be there.
005: coffee fiend || blaine cannot function without two things - coffee and hair gel. every morning, blaine gets up and makes himself a cup of coffee and when he gets going on his day he’ll stop at either the coffee shop near his apartment or starbucks for yet another pick me up coffee.

SANTANA: I know how to have a good time, Anderson. And I can definitely help others have a good time too.
SANTANA: Yeah, I can't complain right now. Maybe later but right now things are.. decent.
SANTANA: Good, just lemme know. I'm usually off on Sundays so whenever you want is good with me.
BLAINE: That you do and you're very good at it, Santana.
BLAINE: Good, I'm glad things are at least going decently for you.
BLAINE: Perfect! I will keep you posted.

Ryder: I'd take the confusion over outright rejection any day.
Ryder: How are things with you though? You good?
Blaine : I totally get that. My fingers are crossed for you.
Blaine: I'm good. Busy with the show and I've been auditioning for a couple new projects, so a little tired, but nothing I'm not used to.

JESSE: We're happy. We don't need people around us who aren't happy about that. A couple of years ago, I would never have pictured this being my life. But I can't wait to be a dad. And I especially can't wait to see Rachel was a mom.
JESSE: I hope so.
JESSE: What's your Christmas card going to be this year?
BLAINE: Of course and you have every right to feel that way and you're right - you don't need anyone to tell you what to do or not be happy for you. I'm thrilled for you, Jesse. You're going to be an amazing dad, I know it. Rachel is going to be such a fantastic mother and your kid is going to be so lucky to have you both. I guess your son or daughter will be in the eventual Les Mis revival like dad and Uncle Blaine? :P
BLAINE: I'm sure it will.
BLAINE: You know, I need to get on that. Last year was just a lot of the pictures I took on tour, so I need to get creative.

FINN: I'll hold you to that.
FINN: Sure! Let me know when there's any openings for apartments and we could check them out.
FINN: That's a long time, dude. I'm actually stopping by this weekend, you got any spare tickets?
BLAINE: Great! First drink will be on me.
BLAINE: I know there's a couple on the floors above me, but I check and around pass along everything to you.
BLAINE: Yeah. It's been a really great experience, so I'm grateful. I'm just starting to audition for other projects outside of the show, but I do still love it. I can totally get you one for this weekend, sure. Just let me know what day and time you want - We have Friday night, 2 shows on Saturday [2pm and 8pm] and then Sunday [2pm and 7pm].

I just received a phone call from the Trump campaign, asking me if I’m going to be voting. Unfortunately for them, the only people of colour I think should be banned from the country are orange ones. A billionaire should be paying more in taxes than the cost of a pair of boots. Please remember to vote and save us four more years of this corruption.
Wow, imagine thinking anyone involved with the theatrical community would want to support him in any way let alone help him get reelected. Thankfully, we live in a blue state, but hopefully others out there do what is best for our country.

It’s hard not to feel completely stressed out by everything that’s happening, especially over here, but you know what works? Christmas music. I’m telling you guys. I know people give others shit for listening to Christmas music too early, but totally calms me down.
Yes! The cast of Jersey Boys has gone full on Christmas - we put up Christmas lights and we’re working on our track for the Carols for A Cure album we do annually. It’s all about the Christmas music right now and definitely not too early.
