Masking: Was introduced to masking layers on after effects which is very similar to the layers you can achieve with photoshop. I've watched some tutorials on you tube of people who use masks in order to create the effects of light in their clips. The above clip is a made up of three layers a solid pink layer, the clips that I filmed and the text layer. By masking off shucks face and applying a blending mode that picks up the pink layer underneath I was able to create a pink hue that was consistent and believable throughout the clip.

One thing that I've learnt from studying at msoa and making this stop motion short is that there isn't an excuse for not being produce work due to space. There's so much you can do to improve a clip. Gives me some hope that I can still carry on creating work when I'm back home and working in a small space.

Focus check... on dragon frame gave me possible crops but the views were extremely deceiving will talk more about this in the next post.

I used a programme called MPEG Stream Clip to export the video I had shot as an image sequence I did this for certain clips that I needed to edit on photoshop. I needed to apply makeup onto shuck and photoshop has a much broader range of brushes that after effects those ones are too bright and too drawn on. Once I had edited on the makeup I put the image sequence into Zeitraffer and converted it back to 24fps piece of film that I could then work with again in after effects.

Development photos and clips that need editing and looping. Began a shot today of the two characters playing card and had to give the room back at 4 so couldn't finish the take. Hopefully everything will not be touched over the weekend so I can pick up where I left off.
