I don't mean to start shit or anything but talking as a trans person I feel like cis women are not talked about NEARLY enough when it comes to transphobia.

The most vile and gender police-y behaviour in my life, the most transphobia I have faced, every comment that has stayed with me has come from cis women.

Constantly they are hailed as saviours and safe people for trans folk but I feel as though the fact that they too benefit from transphobia is ridiculously underlooked.

Cis men have consistently gone "oh ok" and tried their best or asked for clarity on my gender where cis women have failed me. I am not presenting as my gender enough, I am too confusing, I am misgendered because they knew me "before."

If my gender is not good enough for The Women, it is their decision on if I am one of Them or the "Enemy." And frequently their position AS cisgender women is used to protect them from any of my critique of their language or casual transphobia.

I havent exactly seen it acknowledged that cis women can and will benefit from being Cisgender and are not "safe" by default.

DISCLAIMER: this ask is not about all cis women. I feel like thats obvious but this is the piss on the poor website.

ALSO I feel it should be obvious this is mostly about White women but obviously can apply elsewhere.
