these shoes stood out to me at first because of how adorable they are, and then i started to think that there was something in sam's collection that looked similar, and i was right! still, with the movie shoes only having a singular bow, they actually end up looking a lot more like the shoes that come with rebecca's original hannukah dress.

Normally I wouldn't post smth like this but man I'm just SO EXCITED

When i was a kid I had a TON of Littlest Pet Shop stuff, multiple of the playhouses, a LOT of animals, a bunch of the accessories, even at least one DS game. I think it was just something small my mom could regularly afford to get me to make tiny me happy and it literally always worked

Well, when I was 13 or 14ish, we had a garage sale, and my mom said it was time to sell them, and some nice grandma bought the whole lot for her granddaughter. My Grammy heard her talking to my mom about them and, having bestowed upon me the same kind of mental illness for saving sentimental things she has, she sneakily told me to look through the bin real quick and pick out a handful of my favorites before they sold.

Two sad things happened after that: one, someone literally ROBBED our garage sale. My mom was away from the money box for a few minutes and when she came back all forty bucks we'd made was just gone. I mean, I guess you'd have to be in a pretty dire financial situation to think its worth it to steal from just, some local family's garage sale, but come on. And two, I have absolutely no idea where I put any of the LPS animals I saved since then.

I've been going through some rough shit lately, health wise. And its made my mental health backslide pretty severely. But I started looking at stuff on Facebook marketplace when I was bored, showing my partner stuff that I thought was neat or would make me happy, and LPS just kept coming up. And they noticed how every time I would just get so happy, talk about which toys I had and compare the colors of the ones I was seeing to the ones I used to own. But I thought I'd just never ACTUALLY buy any of them, because it just didn't seem... important enough?

But it was important, to my partner. Because they looked at me and told me I should just... get some. Look into and compare prices and just... start my collection. Because we have the rest of our lives together to keep building it, they said. "Might as well start now."

So, I'd REALLY like to introduce my new little friends, who keep making me so happy just to look at them that I could cry

i was pretty nervous about buying one of these guys because theres lots of fakes, and when i found this one i was thinking theres no WAy this can be fake, what seller would go to that length. even if i was still checking the glitter and spots. but the seller was super nice and even lowered the price bc this one was the worst off by far, and thankfully it was mostly superficial! except for the nailpolish on the tail and horns :( didnt get it all but its not super noticeable anymore just a few flecks
