When Suguru gets into the bath, he makes sure to do so as disagreeably as possible. “Okay. I’m in. Happy?” “Not with that attitude.” Satoru pops the top on a shampoo bottle and sniffs it, refusing to acknowledge their standoff. Childish. Infuriating. Satoru sits down on a low stool by the head of the tub and that’s the last straw. “You can leave now,” Suguru growls over his shoulder. “Well, then who is gonna wash the guts out of your hair?” Suguru falters. There isn’t gore on his person— in his hair or otherwise. Even if it feels like there is. Even if he feels marked by it, he knows he isn’t. It isn’t real.

Satoru takes care of a stubborn Suguru after a bad mission, and asks him why he doesn’t just… stop swallowing curses.

(Set in June 2006, 2 months before the Star Plasma Vessel incident. Series part 6 of 12.)

His mouth draws a neutral line, an utter lie. “No point in arguing.” “That’s where you’re wrong.” Katsuki takes another step, slowly closing the distance. “You could stand to fight a little more for what you want.” “You forget yourself.” Shouto tips his chin up in challenge. Katsuki likes it—no, he loves it. It lights a fire in his veins. “What do you know of what I want?” “Suppose we’ll find out.” “Wha—” The word is lost to Katsuki’s mouth. For a blistering moment, the prince freezes in his arms, stony against the heat of his lips. Katsuki’s palm cups his jaw, holding on, and he banishes the tremor in it. Please, he thinks. Prove me right.

Katsuki has been at the palace too long. He must return to his homeland, but he refuses to leave a piece of himself behind when he does.

its still mermay somewhere…right? 🥺 okay, hear me out: what if suguru is an unhappy depressed prince. what if he is SO sad, he doesnt really mind if he…dies? and he is about to drown but then he meets gojo. satoru is a sirene who would actually kill humans, but instead of killing him he saves him ofc (bc suguru is fucking special ♥) and then its kinda nice that both of them end up being the opposite. the "killer" is saving and getting "tamed" and the one who wanted to die lives and starts seeing the joy in life again. suguru tries to teach gojo not to kill humans anymore and brings him other food instead. as a sirene gojo is a creature, who doesnt usually go to the hairdresser, thats why his hair is long! one day tho it gets tangeled SO BAD (cuz he gets caught in a fishernet) that suguru has to save him and then cut his hair. ofc he looks fucking ethereal afterwards ✨ ((suguru keeps gojo a secret btw)) (((fangs are hot)))
