Hypnotist vampire.!?

She’s a college- or.. was a college student when she was turned. Stolen in the night on her way home from enjoying herself at a local club.. the moments were a blur, not allowed any more than a squeak before pain zipped her lips. Then… came the pleasure…

She’s a hypnotist on the side of students life. Posting files in hopes to earn a little extra cash for herself, but while doing so… she earned the attention of a bored ventrue clicking around in this niche little pocket of the internet.

He was impressed.. Though he cannot be sunken by a measly spiral and echoing words, he saw the potential in her.. she could be put to use. This ventrue has plans he wishes to conduct.. a little hypnotic vampire would be a useful asset.

I KNOW she isnt the classic ventrue design, but I thought it would be interesting!! C:

thinking about the nature of choices in deltarune

‼️ some spoilers for chapters 3+4 going forward

for a game that tells us that our choices don't matter. there sure are a lot of opportunities to make choices, and quite a few choices are made, not just by us, but by the characters.

for us, the player, firstly, in a meta sense we have the choice to continue playing, to continue controlling Kris' life and sending them on these adventures. And then there are the typical choices to spare or to fight. The weird routes. The secret bosses. So far there has been no major change to the continuity between chapters. But this can't mean nothing right?

i think its also important how much susie's choices matter, and how much they do have an effect on the story. her dialouge, her battle choices, whenever she runs ahead of us, or talks for us. its all her doing. and she very much affects what happens.

every time kris rips the heart out, their actions are their own choices. the dark fountain. hiding the guitar. talking to noelle's mom. their actions are hindering our (the player's) ability to enter the bunker.

but once again, into the meta of it all. Its all pre scripted. Its all code in a game. so really, do their choices really matter? will our choices ever matter if we arent given the path to do so?
