[watching pro wrestling over someone's shoulder] You know that stuff isn't real, right? Like you know there aren't actually small guys fighting inside your TV and that they're just pixels on a screen, right? yeah i was sad when i found out too

if you’re white and wanna write a poc character and feel awkward about it i implore you to ignore any twitblr stuff treating it as a massive ethical burden and instead come in more with the same mindset you’d have if you wanted to write about idk firefighters but didn’t know anything about firefighters so you do... research. Like fuck off with the weird kinda creepy calls for spiritual introspection you’re not writing about god damn space aliens you’re writing about humans and if you think you need more perspective of different life experiences just read?

The way you change your immediate reactions to things is that you catch yourself having an uncharitable/bigoted/overly judgmental thought and you catch it and replace it and then you do that a hundred times a day for your whole life and eventually one day like five years later you realize that you think differently now and you’ll always be working on something but that’s how life goes and that’s fine.

The paradox of tolerance is only a paradox if you think of tolerance as some sacred and unconditional moral duty. Some ultimate and absolute law with no exceptions, and if you ever slip into the sin of intolerance, you must repent yourself and beg for forgiveness. Yeah no fuck that. Tolerance is a social contract. You're in the game as an equal player for as long as you play by the same rules as everyone else, and if you don't, your ass is fucking out. You're not entitled to the same respect you won't give others.
"Oh so you all tolerate each other just because you tolerate each other, but if I want to destroy you, then all of a sudden you want to destroy me?" Literally yes. That's the gist of it. What's not clicking. This equation is so simple it barely counts as math.

Apparently the 1300 ft trash chute in 432 Park Avenue does not have any breaks or offsets in it to slow down the garbage so stuff thrown away at the top floors easily reaches terminal velocity and sounds like bombs going off when it hits the bottom.

i know kpop stans like to yap about fair treatment for everyone and wahhh give more lines to x etc but honestly i love how sm has never been about that. one thing about them they WILL make sure you know who matters and who doesn't and you WILL like it or else. they didn't invent positions in kpop for nothing and they'll make damn sure the center is in your face and the main dancer gets the spotlight and the main vocals hog 90% of the song. and they are so real for that

Hello,
For those who don’t know me, my name is Alaa. I’m a husband and a father from Gaza, and I’m so grateful to be raising two beautiful children, Maram, our lovely 6-year-old daughter, and Ayman, our energetic 3-year-old boy. We are also eagerly anticipating the arrival of our third child, a baby girl, who is due in just a couple of months. My wife is seven months pregnant, and while we’re filled with excitement, we’re also feeling the weight of the challenges ahead.
One of the things we’ve been discussing is what to name our new daughter. We wanted something that feels similar to Maram, but we’re still undecided. There are so many lovely names that could be perfect for her, and we’d really appreciate any suggestions or advice.
That said, choosing a name is the least of our worries right now. The reality of preparing for our baby’s arrival in the middle of a war is overwhelming. We have no baby clothes, no mattress, and with the current war, basic necessities like diapers and baby formula have become unaffordable for us.
I’m thrilled and thankful that we’re expecting a new addition to our family, but as a father, the fear and worry about how we’ll care for her, along with our two other children, are constant. We are displaced from our home, I’ve lost my job, and our savings have run out. Every day, I wonder how I will protect and provide for my family in these impossible circumstances.
This is why I’m reaching out to you. We want to give our daughter the best start we can, but we can’t do it alone. If you’re able, please consider donating to our GoFundMe campaign or sharing our story with your friends and family. Any support, no matter how small, will make a world of difference to us during this incredibly difficult time.
✅️ My campaign is vetted by @gazavetters, my number verified on the list is ( #252 ) ✅️
