GENDER EQUALITY:STILL SHOOTING AT OURSELVES NOT THE ENEMY.
Gender Eqaulity " a state in which access to rights and opportunities idms not afftectex by gender" and this remains I oxford dictionary.
Nonetheless, I would absolutely be wrong if I fail to recognize great stride made across the globe in relation leveling the footing of man and woman. However, more is still needed and it's like nothing has been done. Most of the world's countries have some how somewhere found space in their national instruments particularly to inscript beautiful words to up the women in all aspects.
For instince, while human rights apply to all of us here in Uganda; Article 33 is purely for women although it seems it never to mature to bring us the much needed friuts.
USA, one of the fathers or mothers in this case of democracy in the world that she has lived to it for decades, has only 102 women seats compared to 333 seats of their counterpants in the Parliament Argentina, among the first the countries to have a gender Quota by law in 1991 is still lementing of gender inequalities the curvey has never remained steady
The IPU in its over 130 years of existence has had only 3 women the predident and rest are males yet she also ponders on how to attain gender egaulity.
The UN body, the godess of the world, the supreme leader, a platform of leveled unequals and fraternity to preach, implement and achieve gender Equality is still runing after their ungendered agenda 2030 with only about 10% of women on the playform from the 193 member states. Rwanda is the world's only country with up to 60+% of women dominating seats in Parliament. But again, that is just an oil droplet in the ocean ad there is no constitutional guarantee to keep that flame burning.
The questions to ponder about are what went wrong and what is not right? What wen wrong is fact that whatever we come up with in our constitutions merely setved as a favor to women. Everything is arranged with an assumption that male dominance at some point will slow down naturally, which is a beautiful dream to dream.
What is wrong; is for us having a female leading a house of over 400 legislators is antcipaying absolute representation of women's voice and worth celebrating
My school of thought holds that, perhaps choicing the word EQUALITY was wrong because society has perfectely cocktailed gendet roles and sex. Breaking that mindset might call for the resurrection of #Prof.Sigmond to tell us where a #penis that was cut from women went now that it huants them so they look for comprnsation from men.
What can we do right then The world needs to embrace actions that aim at achieving gender fairness; in a manner that both parties don't feel neglected or over stepped on by the other.
We need to have constitution writings of fairness not favors. For instimance; in elective politics, if man as the president woman should be guaranteed of deputy president. In selective politics and other arenas, if this terms a man is selected, the next should for a woman.
Otherwise, our activism, fights, campaigns may also die with our ability to compel goverments to act if there is no guarantee to hold our achievements in relation to the gender fairness in our laws. Universal Organizations and intetnal bodies of fraternity may remain meeting clubs of men to lobby for their families; with scattered females just to keep all our make un fading ego high.
My simple call is, women deserve better, women are human, women can do better but their biggest hinderence is my strong desire to stick and dominat everywhere in everything.
#LETSMAKETHEWORLDABETTERPLACE Binoh M Williams Ug pledges to walk to gender fairness.

Because its culture
I go streets swinging the bottom left right Smiling to lined faces not paying attention with my hand in the space because its culture
I twist my knees to pain dwindling my heights into the ground crossing my hands near my parts as a docile bowing to wrinkled faces because its culture
I sit squatting on my toes giving age the seat wondering like I am happy with a crying heart and cheering audiences because its culture
Black is not dark and white is foreign say the outgrown of my location blaming the weaknesses to the west Folding their strengths in their fist and archaisms say its because its culture even when they lead their own uncultured lives

Trail
I walk leaving my body behind painting faint trails Those tracing me out find dying footprints collapsing in my own shadow But I am glad my shadow shifts with me even if there are shuttered cheers

“You broke me into little pieces that I’m still picking up to this very day I may never have been perfect but at least I was still whole With every tear you made me cry I melted away just a little more and my heart now beats so much slower than before The power you held over me still sickens me to my stomach I’ve got to thank you for one thing, though I’ve learned how to not crumble for anyone, anymore.”

Head,hand and heart
I have perfected the art of listening
To people speak with their hearts
About what they love with their eyes
In that crowd I hoist my head to reach
Their wisdom but ears are tired listening
To whatever they are speaking round around.
At stake is my own head, hand and heart.Take them too if so be.

NINA
Nina the sand we stand is shifting beneath
As we shake to the wake of your departure
Inside we run after you screaming
But once we move our legs
They will denote us crazy
Nina, on this legwalk you stood yesterday
As we smile pragmatically to your friendship today
Inside our fists we've known you
But its sad you are leaving tomorrow
Nina nine times we live
To realize you impact in our lives
As on the tenth time we let you go again
In our invisible happiness we wave to you bye
But here we outburst in a sweet memory lane
Nina to your going I wish
Tomorrow didn't come
But your return I call
Tomorrow to come today
SEE YOU THEN
