I am Maria Juliana Marin, standing 5'6 weighing 52kgs 18 yrs old born on September 6,2001 at Quezon City but now resides at Santa Rosa City. My parents are Julie Ann Marin currently works abroad and Dixzeus Marin Call Center Agent, I have two younger sibs Kurt, 10yrs old and Sam,6.
The struggle is real with my mom being far away from us, as an Ate I lead the house choirs, and help out my siblings to their assignments and everything at first it was really kinda hard but as time goes by I have already adjusted to our situation. Plus I do really value my moms sacrfices just to give as a decent life and best education, sending me and my sibs to best school available. In return I try hard to take care of my siblings and focus on my study.
18 yrs old, a typical teen ager, Im now an SHS at STI College Santa Rosa.
Going through what teens usually goes through, Im an ABM student, I chose ABM because I wanted to build my own business when time has come. So as a student at my school I can say it was really the best one, for the past 1 year and now my last year of staying here at STI it wasnt that smooth all the time but it was really challenging
I remember one time me and my friend cried while doing our iLs in fear of not being able to make it to deadline😂 surely our teachers gave us enough time or I can say morethan enough, but students saying was #crammersprevail but pls dont get me wrong, just an info, you wont survive at STI if you cram all the time hehe.
Morethan the acads twas the relationship that Ive built with my classmates and teachers, memories, the cries, laughs those "takas" times we've done just to have lunch at ambens hahaha those memories that will last.
Fast forward to one of students favorite times
Siglakas the time when students get to show off their skils and strength in sports/dancing and some in plain cheering to their schoolmates. On the other hand I played Basketball, a captain ball thats why I got no time to take selfie, but I can say it was really the best having to olay at balibago court being watched and cheered by my teachers and classmates got me like 🥰🥰

18 yrs of existence, I have a lot of moments when I wanted to just give up and not care anymore because it can be very tiring and exhausting doing it every single day. It’s just that I love my mother very much, and my siblings mean a lot to me. I pray to God earnestly to give me the strength to do what I can to help especially since my mother is away. I’m all the “Ate-Mother” that my siblings can get. I also make sure to let my mother know how I feel so these feelings don’t get bottled up. I have a great circle of friends, and I keep the faith alive by going to church regularly. It’s important to have safe outlets or channels to open up to so that I can cope with the difficulties I face.
In a few more months, it will be our graduation. It may be the end of Senior High School, but it also signals the start of a new phase. I dream to be a Pilot, to soar the sky high. They say it’s next to impossible, that it’s too expensive, too difficult subjects to pass. I don’t get discourage despite all that because I know what’s in my heart. I want to be a Pilot and I’m going to be one. All of those hindrances are just steps that I should take one by one so I can realize my dream. I will travel the world and I will travel it with my loved ones. It may not be today, but I know that day will come. I’m just blessed that my family has got my back on this, they support me in all that I plan and just wants me to be the best I can be.
Faith, hope, love and respect- four big words that I want the world to remember with my story. Faith that everything will just work out fine. Hope that good days will come. Love is all you need- including love of your own self. Finally, respect that God has a plan for you if you put him above the rest. This is not the end of my story, and I can’t wait for the next chapters to come. Bring it on! Thank you STI!!
