Week 3
This week we came back from the holidays we only had one day of lessons this week because of the bank holidays. We started our project proposals which I found good because they don’t have to be super long but I can still put in like all the information. We also did a task with kayne which we are going to finish this week making pictures look old so taking a picture and editing it to look old which I think could be interesting but it seems like it would be time consuming.

Week 2
This week we did some more research exploring one of the ideas we thought of the previous week, I explored my idea of buildings and structures. We also went to the format festival in derby which I thought was interesting but there were bits of it which were boring, however there were certain exhibits I did enjoy.

Week 1
This week we started our fmp. We did some initial research at first I thought it was a bit confusing but when we started suggesting ideas and exploring different angles it became a bit easier as we could use most ideas that we came up with as long as we could explain how they fit in the theme. This week we also went to London to do some research I really enjoyed the trip and think it helped me but I think I used the trip in a different way for example at the natural history Museum I took more pictures of the building and surroundings than the exhibits.

week 6
this week we put our books together, i chose to make it myself, which was very frustrating as i couldn't get the book to print properly, and it took me all my lesson time to put my book together and print it. i did also manage to out my typology of the everyday images together. i also scanned in my sologram image and edited it. i ended up finishing my project at home which i was ok with as i could do it in my own time.

week 5
this week i took some more group images and generally edited my work from the start of the project and edited my pictures. this week we also learned about using indesign and we learned to put together a book by hand, i thought the saddle stitch way to bind the book was boring and annoying, because it wasn’t as neat as i would like.

Week 4
this week i started to take pictures for my final booklet, i did 2 shoots and out if the 2 i only liked one of the shoots i did, i also did my individual shoots on tuesday which i enjoyed and i liked the images, but some of the images i took looked a bit staged so i decided not to use them.

This week we started thinking more about our ideas for our final pieces I found it ok but I was a bit confused about the direction of my idea as I wasn’t 100% sure about it as I had changed it but I think I know what I’m doing.

This week we did some research but we also did some practical work which I enjoyed and we were set a vice or vogue task to do over the holidays which I think is a bit annoying as I don’t feel comfortable going up to random people and asking them if I can take a picture of them.

Week 3
This week we started to work on our final prices and come up with different ideas to see what we could do and develop for our final piece. We also finished work from other lessons so caught up on the work from Kaynes lesson, finished the posts from past uploads. I think I am going to go back at the end and edit all my posts and write a bit more about selective pictures rather than keeping it as an overall critique, this allows me to analyse what went well in one picture compared to another etc.

Week 2
this week was very annoying because on monday the printers werent working properly and on the tuesday my tumbler wasnt, so i couldnt post any pictures on my tumblr for the tuesday lesson or the work i was going to continue at later from monday. other than that the lessons went well and i found the work we did really interesting and learned some new stuff with the joiner lesson and the lesson with kayne in which we recreated a picture by and with paint and paper.

Week 1
This week we were introduced to the new project. I thought the idea of it was really interesting and I had a few ideas of things I could explore but overall I feel like I need a bit more inspiration and need to draw from other photographers who have already done some work, like our new project. With jordi we made some 3D shapes with images using photoshop and nets I thought this was really fun and it went really well.

This week we also carried on with our sketch book work in with all 4 tutors we did our sketch book work and caught up with everything we havent done i caught up on the light painting which i found really fun but hard because i didn’t actually know what i was doing so i just had to wait until i finished.

Week 5
this week with john we did our annotations and sketchbook work for our pinbhole photography, unfortunatly some of my prionts got lost over the week but i found one of them when i went to the darkroom in jordis lesson. with kayne this week we did our sketch book work and in jordis lesson we enlarged one of our images which i enjoyed bnut it took really long as we didnt have enough enlargers and py print also came out a bit bad, however this allows me to talk about wehy it came out bad and what was wrong with it.

Week 4
This week we continued the colour wheel work with kayne and made our own colour wheels on photoshop, i found it fun because i learned how to use a new tool on photoshop which was the mask tool. we also did some experimental work with the pinhole cameras, i think this was overall quite fun but i kept on ending up with some bad looking pictures, with jordi we made a contact sheet using our film i think my pictures looked really good and alot of them came out with alot of detail which i liked.

Week 3
This week I did some experiments with drawing and painting over pictures I found that really interesting as it changed the overall outlook of the picture. In johns lesson we took pictures with the pinhole cameras I liked the process of doing this and developing them but I don’t really like the outcome as they aren’t what I expected. On Tuesday we started the colour work with Kayne which was interesting and we developed our film with Jordon which was fun and a interesting process I got to see my pictures as well which look quite interesting and very detailed to me. I am really happy with them so far.
