The legacies people leave behind in you.
My handwriting is the same style as the teacher’s who I had when I was nine. I’m now twenty one and he’s been dead eight years but my i’s still curve the same way as his.
I watched the last season of a TV show recently but I started it with my friend in high school. We haven’t spoken in four years.
I make lentil soup through the recipe my gran gave me.
I curl my hair the way my best friend showed me.
I learned to love books because my father loved them first.
How terrifying, how excruciatingly painful to acknowledge this. That I am a jigsaw puzzle of everyone I have briefly known and loved. I carry them on with me even if I don’t know it. How beautiful.

Many lgbt teenagers and young adults growing up on the internet today have socially conservative beliefs that they voice at all times that they got from their conservative parents which they’ve never challenged because they think the life experience of being gay or trans makes them politically progressive

what I like is how Ted makes Trent just absolutely, uncharacteristically stupid. like he is, by all account, a well-respected journalist who is clearly king shit in the press room and has a little picture at his byline. that’s not everyone! he knows how to do his job. he knows how to behave. probably those moves (show up in cool shoes, offer a ride home in his vintage Mercedes, etc) have worked before. he’s a smooth, confident guy.
and when it comes to Ted he forgets how to journalism properly and/or gets himself dramatically fired, and then locks his keys in the car. complete smiling moron. does not know how to act whatsoever. utter disaster whenever Ted’s around.
wonderful.

Thank you so so much @the-real-alicat-blog for commissioning this piece from me!!! YOU’RE LITERALLY SO SWEET AND I LOVE YOU SO MUCH.
this wonderful human literally commissioned Andriel from me after reading the books for me and then proceeding to listen to me rant for like an hour about how much I wanted to draw them. Ugh. I love you so much friend. Seriously 🥺❤️

Andrew’s expression was deceptively calm, but there was iron in his grip when he seized Nathaniel’s chin. Nathaniel let him look his fill, because it gave him time to study the bruises lining Andrew’s face.
