Hey i have an unusual question for you:My mother just showed me scenes from a soap opera she used to watch years ago and even if i don't know more things about it i swear this song would be perfect for a Pleasantiew machinima intro ?Idk why tumblr does not let me post the link but its "Sunset Beach - Extended Theme on youtube. since you are one of the best machinimas creators in the community, what do you say, would you dare to make an intro using this song? i would pay you seriously!

Hi 🥰 I hope all is well with you and that you've been having a good week so far. I've started to dive deeper into machinima creation, but I've stumbled on a pretty annoying issue that, so far, I haven't been able to solve. So, I though who better to ask than the Machinima Master Extraordinaire? Maybe you've encountered this, maybe not, but apparently Gunmod's Camera mod (maybe all cameras, dunno) behaves differently in different people's games. I saw a video a while ago by Let it Simmer, who went through how to adjust the speed of the first person camera. He could make a change in the file, save, and the game would update automagically, while he was still in game. However, it doesn't work for me, and I saw others having the issue as well. So, I have to reload the game if I want to change anything in the camera file and have the game register the change. Have you ever heard of this, and do you know why it happens/what can be done to solve it?

hi ani!!!! i can't tell you how thrilled i am to hear that you're getting more into machinima making, your work is incredible! i assume you're talking about modifying the orientationsteps/translationsteps in the firstpersoncamera files, so my first question is are you filming with a mac or windows? i used a mac for the first 2 seasons of pleasantview and i was never in that time able to find a way to modify the speed of my camera without quitting and changing them, so i think it might not be possible with macs. second, have you downloaded custom parameters from anyone? gunmod's camera hack is a great start, but i think most machinima creators make or download a further-modified version of the firstpersoncameras file. if not, i'd be happy to send you my file so you can give it a try, or even if you think changing which parameters you use might help. and finally, i'll just say that probably 90 percent of the time, unless i need to get a tricky shot, i keep my camera speed at ~50 for orientation/translationsteps. i find that this is the perfect balance that enables me to get slow and faster shots without having to minimize my game and go into the files too often. my parameters are also very smooth and forgiving so again, i'd be happy to send them your way. let me know if any of that helps, and if not, i'll try to come up with some other solutions!! 💖💖

unfortunately it got taken down in some great pinterest purge (so did my personal but i was able to recover that one) so i'm having to think of another way i can share cc, thinking about making a tumblr finds blog since most of it is from here anyway!!
