My First Blog....
I have never blogged before, welcome to my blog page.
Firstly let me explain a little about me, I am a very proud Mother of 4 Children and live in leafy London suburbs. I am a proud carer whom travels from house to house to look after our elderly and venerable people, I meet so many amazing people whom entertain me every day.
The role of a carer is something that I enjoy but also take very seriously, the industry has historic and current problems which is why I have started this blog.
The are lots of guidance as to what a home care worker ought to provide as a minimum service however, their is not one generic care plan for a care giver, each plan is varied however, this will ALWAYs evolve to meet the needs of the specific day which could include basic emotional conversations.
I have to meet many people throughout the day and told how much time I should spend with each customer however, I allow time if required to organise their priorities, it could be going to the shops, making phone calls for them, writing a letter or just organising the kitchen for their meal later, this is to just name a few of my many tasks.
I plan to blog about issues facing our industry and client cases without naming clients specifically. I hope you enjoy my ramblings.....
