It wasn't exactly the easiest month.

Between the confessionals and his just recovering relationship with his sister, Macaque couldn't shake the feeling of pressure that came with all these attachments. Easier to be distant, detached from people.

Maybe some time detaching would do him some good - get the squirming out of his body, reset his social ph to acidic and rinse himself of all the affection and care that was beginning to make him itch.

He set the phone down, tightened the cloth around his neck and dropped through the floor.

It was time to disappear for a while.
