French official: Muslim women who wear hijabs are like “Negroes who accepted slavery”

Laurence Rossignol, the French minister for families, children and women’s rights came under fire Wednesday for comparing Muslim women who decide to wear the hijab, to the plight of African-Americans who were enslaved. Despite the fact that this comparison makes no sense, Rossignol excused herself and attempted to explain the comparison.

All of these comments were left on Cartoon Brew’s recent interview with Sausage Party directors Conrad Vernon and Greg Tiernan. According to commenters, many animators on the film weren’t properly credited. Hopefully @cartoonbrew will look into this.
