It is my passion to be that source of inspiration for young individuals who look like me to know that science is for them too. I am a proud student of Meharry Medical College and currently conduct my PhD research in a lab at Vanderbilt University. My research is focused on understanding the brain’s role in the regulation of body weight and feeding behavior and identifying such pathways that can be targeted for the treatment of obesity.
