Gachiakuta Theory - How they become givers - WARNING SPOILERS INCLUDED!

So recently (today), a theory has been buzzing around my head about how the characters in Gachiakuta become givers. And that is they die, or there is something around death.

This is a VERY recent theory and will have lots of holes (also i'm not that precious about this theory, so you have permission to poke holes in it) but I want to use Follo as an example!

WARNING!!!!! THIS WILL HAVE SPOILERS FROM THIS POINT ON. I WILL PUT ANOTHER REMINDER FURTHER ON TO REITERATE THIS.

So recently I read that givers don't have catch lights in their eyes, which I never noticed up until now. And with the recent character releases for episode 4 of the anime, I noticed that in Follo's promo image, he has catch lights. (You will understand why I chose Follo further down). WARNING SPOILERS AHEAD!!!!

MAJOR SPOILERS FROM HERE ON OUT!!! I HAVE WARNED YOU ONCE AND NOW I AM WARNING YOU AGAIN. IF YOU HAVE JUST STARTED READING THE MANGA AND DON'T WANT TO BE SPOILED ON CERTAIN PLOTS LEAVE THIS POST AND COME BACK WHEN YOU'VE CAUGHT UP.

THIS IS YOUR LAST AND FINAL WARNING!!!!

So in chapters 120 to around 128/129, you see both Follo and Rudo get into a fight whilst they're battling a trash beast. Whilst they're fighting, Follo obviously figures out he's the cause of the fight between him and Rudo and gets pretty much severely hurt by said trash beast

After he relives some of his memories, it all clicks for him and later in chapter 127, you see him back with his hammer, now turned into a vital instrument.

See where my brain has gone with this theory.

Now here he is in chapter 129 with no catch lights in his eyes.

So my theory is that to become a giver, you have to give up something of yourself (example, your soul) to your instrument to become a giver. Now I know some of you are thinking, 'Well, Remlin, Amo and Riyo got given their instruments,' and you are right.

But think of the circumstances around the Remlins and Amo's instruments. Thirst Quencher was passed down to Remlin when its previous user died. With Amo, her captor got knocked out, and she was given her boots by the 'angel' (I'm not spoiling who the angel is for anyone).

Not long after that, he captor wakes up, tries to steal the boots back, which results in Amo pushing him out of the tower and ending up getting killed.

With Riyo, however, although her instrument was mentioned to be given, there's no backstory to her yet and how she became a giver. But I am guessing with the past chapters showing her nature, there is probably a hint that she did something to a certain someone (who has been hinted at a few times) to become said giver.

Now, for Rudo, he's a bit of an exception to this theory because when you first meet him, he doesn't have any catch lights in his eyes (and this is where the holes in my theory show up)

Like I said, this is just a recent theory, and there are holes. But I am happy for anyone to add your comments with your similar or even totally different theories

Sweet Lips

I saw a post from @bethdavies77 and couldn't resist not writing about it, so here's a little "one-shot" for you!

Silence. Everywhere, it was silent.

It was the end of attack and defense in the town of Termoli. Rubble scattered everywhere. Houses blown to only the basics of stone and wood. Nearly everything had been destroyed. Only a couple of houses stayed standing, which, by Paddy's command, would probably be where they would be resting.

The others had all gone inside to celebrate their "victory", as they normally do. But not Seekings.

He sat against the stone cold well, as his eyes gazed over the rubble of a landscape. Memories flashed before his eyes of other times exactly like this. Bombs littering the sky like raindrops. Explosions going off left, right, and center. It most definitely was not quiet. Quiet would have been the absolute opposite of what it was.

Suddenly, in a short amount of time, Seekings had been pulled right back out of his thoughts and into the real world when he saw a smart pair of boots and a tidy, pristine pair of white socks stand in front of him. He gazed up to see exacttly who he thought it was. Johnny.

"Reg," the innocent looking boy said, "what are you doing out here all by yourself? I thought you would be celebrating by now."

Seekings sighed, with what sounded like emotional pain.

"I can't, Johnny. Not when all I can think about are all the innocent lives being stolen from our protective grasp, and the fact that the men that surround me, are now protecting me."

Seekings chuckles lowly as he shakes his head in slight amusement.

"God, I sound like fucking Paddy, reading out his poetry..."

Johnny responded with a slight chuckle. He knew Seekings had his massacring moments, yet he knew that he did have his soft moments as well.

With slow footsteps, Johnny made his way over to Seekings and sat down, right next to him. He draped his left arm over his shoulders and he rested his head on Seekings right shoulder.

"You know," Johnny spoke, "sometimes I do wish that all this killing could just stop. One day. That's all I'd need."

"I'd like the sound of that." Seekings replied.

The two of them now sat in silence. No one knew, but Seekings and Johnny had quite an intimate relationship going on. It was very subtle though, just to make sure that no one would find out. Well, no one in their team, including Paddy and Bill. Eve, on the other had, being the journalist she was, had already found out, but she made a promise not to tell anyone about their situation, which was nice of her.

Johnny slowly crept his hand up behind Seekings' hair and gently cradled his head. He moved ever so closer, just so that he could plant a kiss against Seekings temple.

Reg, being Reg, instantly melted into this sudden warmth of Johnny's touch. He leaned into the kiss that Johnny had planted and rotated to kiss Johnny's fore head and hair, which got him a response of a chuckle from Johnny.

"Wanna go inside and celebrate now?" Johnny questioned. He knew what the answer was, but he still wanted to ask anyways.

"Fuck no." Seekings replied, bluntly as ever. Just as Johnny thought.

"I just wanna enjoy this moment with you, Johnny. Just you, no one else." Seekings commented as he lay back onto the floor to gaze at the sky. Johnny, being Johnny, repeated Seekings actions and lay his head against Seekings chest and shoulder.

"I love you, Seekings."

"I love you too, Cooper."

And then, there was silence.
