So, a little announcement;

So, I had an idea regarding my Dragonblade fic and where it's currently going; well, I never expected it would become so big or that I would have so many ideas for different scenes or that it would essentially become its own whole universe, but here we are! The amount of lore I've come up with it I can't possibly fit into a whole single fic so, without further ado... at some point in the future, I'm planning on making my fic into a series! I’m also gonna extend the name of it as well (Dragonblade was a working title but I couldn’t think of anything else at the time)!

From now on, I’m calling it The Dragonblade Saga!

Even through the thick insulation offered by coat lovingly bestowed upon her by Tataru before their departure, the biting, oppressive cold of the frozen desolation that surrounded the ashen, lifeless husk of what remained of Garlemald sank its teeth viciously into her flesh and threatened to seep to the marrow in her bones as she surveyed what the Ilsabardian contingent had dubbed Camp Broken Glass.

An apt name if she had ever heard one… a sweeping mess of broken glass, laying among the ash and blood as it became one with the snow, the Telophoroi’s puppets skulking among its shards…

Lila remained standing by the aetheryte as she regained her bearings following the skirmish with the Telophoroi in the ice fields of the Magna Glacies, thankful for her compatriots to have emerged from the battle alive.

Bruised, buffeted, mayhap a touch bloodied, but alive.

Somehow, despite having graced the bitter climes of Coerthas, this was a cold the likes of which she had never felt… mayhap the lingering veil of death and suffering, or even the brutal, jagged ugliness of the Garlean buildings exacerbated the repellant chokehold of the frigidity. For all that had stained her memories of it, at least Ishgard had the ornate resplendent beauty of its architecture, with its fine stonework and gilded spires adorned with innumerable flourishes, but this place…

Worst of all was the tower, looming high into the thick darkness of the clouds above, an abhorrent mass of spikes and other such wretchedness that adorned its facade, its columns cloaked in a noxious, swirling fog of dark, blood-red aether…

The longer she allowed her eyes to linger upon this abomination, the more the fearsome cold seemed to claw at her flesh, slicing deeper and deeper with each passing moment…

Just from a look, it felt… wrong. Horribly, horribly wrong.
