What’s Your Wedding Style?
What’s your wedding style? Vintage...Modern...Rustic...Classic... These are just the most popular styles I have come across in the wedding world. Let me say that some brides are just 1 of these AND some brides are a combination of ALL 4! They key is feeling confident and comfortable in your selections. Express all of your dislikes AND loves with your wedding planner. This will ensure that your vision is executed to your liking!
*Important Tip*
Create a vision board with all of the details that you would like to see delivered for your wedding. This will help you to decide your theme, style and overall look.

Save The Dates “How Far In Advance Should You Send Them”
Save the dates are a good way to make your guests aware of your wedding date decision. You should mail these out at least 7-8 months before your wedding. My rule is the earlier, the better. This will give your guests enough time to prepare to attend. Especially if you have chose a destination wedding location. This also give you enough time to send out invitations in a timely manner.
*Important Tip*
ALWAYS ALWAYS send save the dates to guests you intend to send an invitation to as well. NEVER send a save the date to someone you DO NOT intend to invite to your wedding. That is not fair to the guests, and can come across as being rude and impolite. ~ Staci A.

Today is the official day that I embark on a new journey in my business, my passion & my purpose in life. Ironically on this same day 12 years ago, I said I do, to my love, my business partner & my best friend.
Let me take the time to introduce myself, My name is Staci A. owner of Jazzi Events and the creator of Be Selfish Bride. I found my purpose during the process of planning my own wedding and it was then that I discovered my passion for the wedding and event industry. I love everything fashion & design, organizing and personalizing aren't that close behind either.
I absolutely LOVE WHAT I DO, the imperfections of my own wedding gives me the highest drive for every event, with every client. I started out in this industry just as a designer, but my business evolved over the years as an obsession to execute the perfect event. I began researching and executing floral design, lighting, pipe and draping, ceiling draping and finally event and wedding planning. For every door I opened in my business my events became more flawless and the attention to details were never missed. The wedding & event trends continuously changes as a new generation of brides enters the market being influenced by their music, art and technology. Over the last two years my focus has been solely on perfecting the ideology of my own venue. With this added to my business, I have another perspective of event management and execution. Because I still plan and design events around the New Orleans area and the south, the direction for my venue is unique than any other venue in the city.
"Be Selfish" is what I tell all my clients all the time, as it’s your day. You should spend your money on what’s most important to you.
I created this blog to be a helpful resource for newly engaged couples, inspiring event planners or anyone who wants to know more about the wedding and event industry.
I have partnered with the New Orleans Wedding Magazine, www.thenowbride.com, to help answer questions that the modern day bride has for wedding planners.
Travel with me as I take on the city of New Orleans by storm, and deliver to you all things wedding!
Do you have a question for Staci A.? Please submit them in our question box OR via www.thenowbride.com under the title “Be Selfish Bride”. I look forward to hearing from you, until then, remember, “Being Selfish Doesn’t Mean Be Arrogant, It Just Means Be YOU!” -Staci A.
