you know i know tumblr polls aren’t a great way to get data but i’m actually curious about this. i grew up in an area of the southern US where every window in every house i lived in growing up was painted shut, and i thought this was “a southern thing” until my bf from louisiana informed me he did not have the same experience.

so for reference, this is the area I am considering the “southern United States” for the purposes of this poll, and yes i AM including florida
