i’m so glad i taught myself to DNF books and to not feel even one ounce of guilt over it, because i lost so much time painfully getting through books i hated, just because i didn’t want to leave them unfinished

You know the problem with reading a book? You get hooked and then it ends and you feel sad

the raven cycle is hilarious because blue and gansey are living in a coming of age romcom and adam and ronan are living in a supernatural horror film and then when they all hang out it immediately turns into an 80s treasure hunting brotherhood flick. and then they go their separate ways and adam and ronan immediately start battling the horrors again while blue and gansey eat yogurt

“how to read more” “how to read faster” “how to read daily” STOP STOP stop STOP this is not a competition. read slowly, read when you’re in the right state of mind, really savour it, read for pleasure, read for yourself. don’t read for performance, stats or to compare yourself to others

When you’re reading a book that separately follows multiple characters and they finally all end up at the same location and you’re dying to see them meet eachother and interact for the first time 🥺🥰😩🥰

anyway i got a nasty motherfucker on that "hey, maybe we shouldn't make owning a lot of books and being able to afford the most expensive versions a requirement for fitting in in the book community" post, so like

you do not need to have the #relatable experience of walking into a bookstore and spending 100s of dollars to be a bookworm. you do not have to have giant book collections to be a bookworm. you do not need to own a single fucking book to be a bookworm. all you need is to like reading

anyway peace and love on planet earth, libraries are great, and poor bookworms are cool
