Gemini AI Overview: Sleeping too much can increase the risk of several health conditions, including: - Mental health = Oversleeping has been linked to depression, anxiety, and cognitive impairment. - Physical health = Oversleeping can increase the risk of diabetes, heart disease, obesity, stroke, and inflammation. - Mortality = Studies have shown that long sleep duration is associated with an increased risk of mortality. - Other health conditions = Oversleeping can also impact fertility and increase pain. However, researchers also note that depression and low socioeconomic status are strongly associated with oversleeping, and these factors may be the cause of the observed health effects. For example, people with lower socioeconomic status may have less access to healthcare, which can lead to undiagnosed illnesses and oversleeping. Signs of oversleeping include: - Daytime tiredness - Grogginess - Headaches - Decreased energy - Mood changes - Waking up but being unable to get up - Never feeling refreshed - Sleeping through an alarm

#OnThisDay Dec 08, #1980 John Lennon was shot five times by 25 year old Mark Chapman outside the Dakota building in New York City where John and Yoko lived. Chapman had been waiting for Lennon outside the Dakota apartments since mid-morning and had asked for an autograph earlier in the day. Lennon was pronounced dead from a massive loss of blood at 11.30pm. Chapman has since said he shot the former Beatle because he wanted to "steal" his fame — stating that now he was a bigger nobody than he was before. He also revealed he planned the killing for three months and considered murdering other celebrities who he thought were "phonies."
