Bento #38 • My husband made red rice and fried chicken for dinner, with salad. Absolutely delicious, though it does look a little chaotic.
I also had a nectarine, orange slices, and an Asian pear.

Bento #37 • We grilled out tonight: feta and spinach chicken sausages, corn on the cob, and mushrooms and onions. Then I made some fruit salad with grapes, mango, and oranges. Also added little bits of broccoli to fill in any gaps.

Bento #36 • I made hamburger steak for dinner with mushroom brown gravy. It was pretty good; I’m still working out the dosing of ingredients when I cook gluten free. Finding out I have celiac disease has been rough but I’m making it through. Just a big diet change for me. I miss golden curry something fierce.
Bento is leftover hamburger steak, gravy, steamed broccoli, rice, salad, grapes, creme mochi, and a few green tea Milky.

Bento #35 • Super quick lunch before I had to fly out the door for work. PB&J on gluten free white bread, almond crisps, a cheese wedge (light swiss I think???), peaches, grapes, prunes, and a tomato from my garden. I wish I had the opportunity to use this box more often I really do love it.
Also, we only have PB&Js in my house with strawberry jelly. It’s just the best.

Bento #33 • Lunch from earlier today. Salad with shredded roast chicken and sesame ginger dressing. Cherry tomatoes, grapes, diced peaches in fruit juice and some cheese (extra sharp cheddar and monterey Jack). I stashed a few hi-chew in the lid.
The drink is cold brewed mango and passion fruit iced tea. Wish I’d packed something chocolate for desert. Hindsight, man.

Bento #32 • Today we did a lot of rearranging to make room for our baby that’s coming in a few weeks. My husband made dinner as I was worn out from moving furniture all day lol.
Also! Exciting! I think this is my first vegetarian bento!
So we have potatoes and onions in tomato sauce with Mediterranean spices (I think he uses timeric, curry, black pepper, cardamon and a few other spices I don’t remember), teddy bear shaped plain rice balls, prunes, some chocolate, a cheese, and a fruit bar thing my daughter won’t eat. XD It tastes like a healthy Fig Newton.

Bento #31 • I made a pseudo Thanksgiving dinner tonight for my husband as he loves boxed stuffing, lol. Lunch for tomorrow is baked chicken, mashed potatoes, stuffing, and jellied cranberry. The other tier is blueberries and grapes (hard to tell the picture is so dark...) cherry tomatoes, sugar snap peas, roasted red pepper humus, and a cheese.

Bento #30 • I found this great new box at TJ Maxx today for only $8! I love TJ Maxx, I’m such an old lady. :D;;; I actually find a lot of great little boxes and containers that work well for bento that I typically can’t find other places (even at my local Asian markets) so if you’re looking for a new box or want to start bentoing for cheap I’d check it out!
Tomorrow’s lunch is curry! Because I love curry. Also a cheese, a Reese’s pumpkin, chocolate and yogurt covered craisins and black grapes. Happy Halloween weekend!

Bento #29 • As previously stated, I make a lot of lazy bento because I have a two year old. :) I try to plan them out in my head for after she goes to bed but half the time I end up falling asleep with her and the grand, fancy lunch I planned never gets made.
But - on to the bento! Super simple; just spaghetti with meat sauce, a container of parmesan cheese, steamed asparagus, prunes, and chocolate and yogurt covered craisins for desert.
I found these cute little containers at the store - they’re actually medicine containers for when you travel; I think they work great for sauce or seasoning containers for bento, though! They come in four or five colors, too.

Bento #28 • Well I made chicken katsu, but it burned some as the piece of chicken I used was pretty thick. So I baked it the rest of the way which turned out okay! Still juicy, still crunchy. :)
Simple bento for tomorrow though I am excited about it. It’s just panko fried chicken with buttered brussle sprouts on white rice. And a biiig container of mustard on the side, as I love chicken katsu with mustard.

Bento #27 • Tomorrow’s lunch is white rice, hamburger steak w/ ketchup, black berries, cucumber/carrot salad, chocolate covered craisins, a babel cheese, and peach and yuzu gummy candies. I also have a large container of green grapes on the side because I’m enjoying them so very much lately. :)
I used my bunny box this time! I believe I’ve only used it once or twice, but it’s such a good box for packing lots of stuff.

Bento #26 • Lazy bento! I actually make a lot of lazy bento but don’t post them as they’re not nearly as fun as when I put more effort into it.
Anyway! Today we have shrimp and broccoli Alfredo with green grapes, a scotcheroo, cheese, and a peach and yuzu gummy candy. I’m seven months pregnant and very fond of green grapes at the moment so should I start posting more expect a lot of green grapes lol.

Bento #25 • I’m clearly out of practice. It’s been awhile! :)
Left side is chicken stir fry with red bell pepper, snow peas, and onion, and white rice with a cherry tomato. Right side is cucumber slices with a carrot star, a Babybel cheese, green grapes, more cherry tomatoes, and orange slices. Happy first day of Halloween!

Bento #24 • I was in a hurry this morning, so I just threw a bunch of stuff together and ran out the door. Today's lunch is broccoli, cherry tomatoes, a Babybel cheese, pomegranate, and pears. Then there's chicken and yellow onions stir fried in soy sauce, Tone's 5 Chinese Spice blend (a wonderful spice to have on hand!!), and sake over white rice. Sorry if the fruit looks brown-ish, I forgot to take a picture before I packed it in my lunch bag. Happy Hump Day! :)

Bento #23 • Today's lunch was panko fried shrimp, rice, chicken potstickers, soy sauce, fresh broccoli, sugar snap peas, carrot garnishes, cherry tomatoes, apple cubes, and cucumber slices. I also had a little cup of ranch on the side to dip my veggies in. :)
