Donating the Past
Cil was bewildered with what he was seeing. First apartment? Why were his parents in the video, who are they talking to? He quickly realized that this picture frame was a window to the future. Grasping the frame with his left hand, he dug out 50 cents from his jeans pocket and paid for the frame. Over the course of the year Cil did manage to move out of his parents’ house and into his own apartment. Over the course of the years, Cil managed to look into the frame and see his future before it happened. He became quite tired of knowing what would happen to his future self, and one day he donated the picture frame back to the same thrift store from which he bought it from.

Moving Pictures
Cil stood there looking into the frame for what seemed like forever, staring at the videos flashing before his eyes. He didn’t believe what he was viewing at first, thinking the picture frame was a trick-tv or viewing tablet. But as he looked over the fame, he reconciled with himself that this was, in fact, just an old wooden picture holder. As he looked into it further, he started seeing moving boxes lying in an empty apartment. His mother and father soon walked in carrying more moving boxes. “This really is a nice place, Cil,” his mother stated. “I remember my first apartment…”

Cil Mana and the Picture Frame
Cil Mana was a well-adjusted boy living at home after high school. He works for a sandwich-making company and is saving up to get his own place someday. He loves going thrift shopping with his mother, who adores collecting. One day Cil and his mother were out thrift shopping when he came upon an old picture frame. The frame itself was nothing special. It was a white wooden frame around 8x11 inches in height and width, but when Cil looked into the frame he realized he could see videos playing inside of it.
