One very funny thing about Severance to me is how like, they reveal Ms. Cobel lives next to Mark and I thought "oh wow the company really keeps a tight eye on their employees." Then time goes on and it becomes increasingly obvious that no actually this woman is just a huge freak about Mark specifically. She's baking him weird cookies. She's breaking into his house. She's making him spend time with his dead wife he doesn't remember. She's skipping work to pretend to be his sisters lactation consultant. She's going to parties with him and hugging him when he says he'll quit Lumon. I'm obsessed with how much she's obsessed with him I need to know what her fucking deal is.

it (stephen king) and severance crossover is making me crazy like… the losers fighting an entity that makes them forget everything and ultimately losing the bravest versions of themselves when they leave derry vs the severed losing the bravest versions of themselves when they take the elevator out of lumon… @it2017 pointed out dylan’s solitude this season/always being the one left behind or separated from everyone else paralleling mike hanlon’s choice to stay in derry bc he knew what was coming and knew someone had to Stay even though it meant losing his chance at freedom… LIKE ARE WE GETTING IT?

this season there's been a visual motif of Dylan being the last one left in a room at the end of a scene. everyone goes off to look for clues and he stays behind at the desks. he's constantly being pulled off to the side and separated either physically or visually from the other three. and now Irv is presumably dead, Helly is confirmed to have been Not!Helly this entire time, and Mark is reintegrated. in the scene where Irv tries to drown Helena, Dylan is up on the cliff watching everybody else. he's the only one there who's still completely severed. even his attempts to see his outie's family happen while he's severed since he stayed behind during the OCP trigger. he's literally the last one left. he's sitting alone at his desk because his outie needs the money and all his friends are being taken away from him. everyone else is out in the real world and he's still in the office holding those switches open so they can look around without him. this shit sucks

There's an EU initiative going on right now that essentially boils down to wanting to force videogame publishers with paid games and/or games with paid elements such as DLC, expansions and microtransactions to leave said games in a playable state after they end support, or in simpler terms, make them stop killing games.

A "playable state" would be something like an offline mode for previously always online titles, or the ability for people to host their own servers where reasonably possible just to name some examples.

I don't think I need to tell anyone that having something you paid for being taken from you is bad, which is a thing that routinely happens with live service and other always online games with a notable recent example being The Crew which is now permanently unplayable.

Even if you're not European or you signed it already, you can share this initiative with anyone who is, even if they don't care about videogames specifically because this needs a million signatures and there is different thresholds that need to be met for each EU country for their votes to even count and could also be a precedent for other similar practices like when Sony removed a bunch of Discovery TV content people paid for.
