Happy Monday! Today, we acknowledge and honor the life of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. He was one of the greatest leaders of all time who fought for equity for all. He showed the world that one person can make a difference!

Weekend Fun: On Saturday, we had a great time celebrating the birthday of Imani Scott, President of the New Amsterdam Musical Association (NAMA). She has a voice of an angel and she blessed us with her 6-octave vocals with a beautiful rendition of "Wing Beneath My Wings." She's doing wonderful things with the organization. We also celebrated our friend, Russia Montanez's birthday, one of the members of Manny's Boogaloo Crew. It was a lovely affair! I hope you enjoyed your weekend!

Founded in 1904, NAMA (New Amsterdam Musical Association), is the oldest African-American musical organization in the United States. It was founded at the time that the American Federation of Musicians Local 310 did not admit minority musicians. Fall Residency for Preachermann and The Revival: We’re excited to share that we have two residencies for the rest of 2024. Preachermann and The Revival will be bringing the atomic soul to our neighborhood home at @shrineharlem . We’ll also be giving Brooklyn some love with a monthly show at @williamsburgmusiccenter. We’ll be saying goodbye to 2024 with our friends at @rub_ulad. Preachermann will be getting down with the Revival, some old friends, and some new special guests.
