This series of photos was taken with the lovely model Nikoletta looking at  nudity within art and the way it makes us feel, I feel honoured to have had this experience. shooting it on 35mm film really brings out its personality and atmosphere almost bringing in a certain cold  sadness that i feel almost encapsulates the image, drawing in the viewer.

This image was taken in emulation of the artist Egon Schiele, capturing the almost decaying human form, skin stretched across bone. Trying to really define his style of slightly mutated limbs and extended torsos that he painted. Visually telling the story's of  the people of Tulln, Austria. I feel this image captured this idea well and is something i want to re-visit in the future.

Emulating Egon Schiele part 2

This time focusing more on posture and composition of the model and the affect lighting and fabric can have against the human form.

I feel that this stands out as one of my best images.

Experimenting with our model in an urban environment, playing with shadows and composition.

This was my first shot using a medium format range finder. I feel this image has worked extremely well as she is framed perfectly within the window.

The beginning of a series looking into experimental portraiture, how to strip and image down to its rawist form yet make it visually interesting. I focused on including more of the model in this image than in the others. Although I feel results vary between each image I think this project worked well and I ended with  a strong set of images. I would definitely like to expand on this idea in another project following the same approach and to also look at filling as much of the image as possible with information to almost overload the viewer.

I feel that this is one of my less successful images. Although I feel it is good to include this to show growth and progression in my work/portfolio.

I feel that this image does not stand out as it is to similar to many others although it is a good study it holds no character by itself, so I feel it falls short compared to the others.

One of my first images ever taken at A level I tried to include multiple models, and create something that is so intriguing that its almost inviting the viewer in, inspired by horror and ghost story's this shoot was used as a way for me to experiment with my camera and get to grips with a studio and studio lighting.

Ghost/Horror experiment part 2

I feel this had a similar result as experiment 1 that i am very happy with. This study has grown on my although not being very technically good, I feel its good to show my progression from this at A level to my Nikoletta studies in my Diploma.

This image was created as a personal reflecting, a project based on emotion i planned for this to emulate fear (the fear of the unknown) with personally living with anxiety and social anxiety I wanted to try and show the feeling of just wanting to shout and scream but always being almost pulled backwards into darkness an invisible force with his hands around your mouth and neck. I feel I delivered on this brief but I could have developed my idea further and created a deeper more visually interesting piece.

Experimenting with our model in urban environments part 2

I feel that this image contains strong aspects, such as the use of natural light to create shadows across the piece and help put the depth of field into great perspective for the viewer. while the background may be distracting I feel for this particular image the model almost jumps out at you.

Taken alongside image 1 these experimental shots ended up becoming some of my finest work.

I feel that everything is strong within this image, the lighting and composition works amazingly together to create a sombre moody feel to the image. I am very interested in creating similar images in the future.

similar with my study of portraiture, I feel that I can often get caught up with one good image and then try to continuously model all my images after this. Although i do really like this image I think it is too similar to study 4.
