🔥While Azula is sure her s/o can protect themselves, she still likes to act protective around other people. It makes her feel like a protector.

🔥She often gets nervous when seeing her s/o fight, therefore she interferes a lot. Say her s/o is sparring with Ty Lee or Mai, she’ll simply push them away and drag her s/o somewhere where she knows they’ll be safe.

🔥 “Yes, I’m aware you can protect yourself. However, I’m obviously stronger than you, Darling.”

🔥He likes to act uncaring when it comes to his s/o’s safety, but he’s a total worry wart. He absolutely hates to leave his darling alone to fend for themselves, it makes him feel icky.

🔥Zuko will, and I mean he will, discourage his s/o from fighting. He tells them constantly that he can protect them and that it’s his job.

🔥 “Listen, just let me protect you!”
