Then he lifted his head. “So, what brought you to the states, anyway? Business, I guess?”

Luciano continued glancing at the menu, long having decided on what he wanted but waiting out of the little goodness of his heart. “Business and personal reasons.” Both of which he didn’t care to discuss. Taking note of the waiter at the corner of his eyes, he gestured them over.

Sirmione is a comune in the province of Brescia, in Lombardia, Northern Italy. The first traces of human presence date from the 6th-5th millennia BC. Settlements existed in the 3rd and 2nd millennia BC. Starting from the 1st century BC, the area around Garda became a favorite resort for rich families from Verona, then the main Roman city in Northeastern Italy. The poet Catullus praised its beauties and spoke of a villa he had in the area. Sirmione was a possession of the Republic of Venice from 1405-1797, when it was acquired by the Habsburg Empire. It became part of the Kingdom of Italy in 1860.
