In the span of this hiatus time, we’ve decided we’ll be putting Bellevue to a close. We don’t believe we’ll be bringing it back but if we decide we want to, we’ll be keeping the main up. We’ve been open for almost a year so thank you so much for that! We appreciate everyone who has taken the time to be apart of this. If you’d like to read more about our decision, it will be provided under the cut.

Unfortunately, we feel that this isn’t something we want to be doing anymore. Our want to roleplay just isn’t there and it’s not fair for us to keep something going when we’re not enjoying ourselves. The roleplay community isn’t something we appreciate as of late. In fact, we’re pretty disheartened by it.

Our goal of Bellevue was to have a group that was relaxed and easy. In turn, we feel that many people have taken advantage of this, rather than used it as a means to help themselves out. And while this may be our fault, we found that a slow dash doesn’t always help when it comes to fleshing out characters and creating a community. However, these aren’t our only complaints.

We’ve been pretty exhausted by the community overall. As admins, it’s hard to keep everyone happy and even harder to sustain a good group when there’s only so much we can do. A group’s members are just as equal to the success of a group. To the people who actively made an effort and always welcomed or plotted with members, we thank you.

We’ve tried so many options and it seems that no matter how many different members join, we just can’t seem to get things the way we envisioned. It's caused us lack of enjoyment in our own group. Members ghosting, not being the most active they can be, and being unwilling to plot are only some of the issues. We can address problems until we’re blue in the face but if people in the community don’t want to change, we can’t hold their hand and make them. It’s been frustrating to put all your effort into something and be exhausted by it.

This isn’t just a Bellevue thing. This is a roleplay thing. We were hoping to bring some peace to the community and we started to realize that maybe we just can’t. Simply put: The joy and fun we used to have just isn’t there and we’re pretty drained.

We’ve always been real, honest and truthful with you all and we wanted to continue that up until this point. We’ve enjoyed writing with all the members who have come, gone and stayed.

For now, we’re saying goodbye. We wish you all luck on your roleplay endeavors.

Hey everyone! So, starting Monday (May 13th) we’re going to be in hiatus mode for a week. We reached out to members and everyone seems to agree that some extra time would be helpful, including us! Everyone’s return date will be Monday (May 20th).

While everyone will technically be on hiatus and activity won’t be checked until May 21st, we still urge everyone to be as active as they can be. We’re still going to be doing acceptances and allowing new members in the group so as always, be welcoming and plot with them if you’re able. Of course, this extends to members joining so this may be a good time to join and get in the group without having to be fully active!

All standard rules still apply; members are just receiving some extra time since everyone is busy. We’re doing this in hopes of being helpful but also in hopes it won’t be taken advantage of! If you still need more time after this, feel free to reach out to us to discuss or fill out a hiatus form and we’ll get back to you.
