no matter how solitary i am in any given period of time, i still try to go places where people are, consistently. i'm reading/studying in a crowded café, i'm making myself have small talk with the cashier as to not lose my voice forever, i'm making many phone calls, i'm texting several people, i'm taking classes where i have to discuss things, i'm sitting at a bar that doesn't somehow intimidate me. this was not the way that i was in the past (i didn't always have several people to text) but i'm beginning to like people. even if it's a glimpse of a woman with pink hair, who i have to tell quietly that i love her hair. i don't really want to draw attention to her, i just want to tell her that i like it. or making a glimpse of a friend somewhere random. even if i add them on whatever website, i probably won't talk to them ever again. but it's somehow nice to know that they're there. it makes their memory a little more real
