Wanted to put out a gentle reminder that enjoying Neil Gaiman’s work, such as Good Omens, does not make you a bad person. Making art, fanfiction, posts, etc., of his work, does not make you a bad person. You are allowed to love the story and the characters and the world, while hating the person who created it — because really, it isn’t his anymore.
We are the ones who love it the way it’s meant to be loved. Good Omens, and whatever other works he made that you love, are YOURS. they’re OURS.
And Neil Gaiman, I hope you know that Terry Pratchett would hate you now, and I hope you know that whatever community you built for yourself with your fake feminism and pro-LGBTQ rhetoric, you’ve lost us all. Go fuck yourself.

😈 You are not bound by the Hays code.
😈 You are allowed to have evil characters who are not punished by the narrative by the end of the story.
😈 You are allowed to have evil characters who win.
😈 You are allowed to have evil characters who make evil look fun and cool.
😈 You are allowed to make your fun, cool evil character the protagonist.
😈 You are allowed to glorify, romanticize and eroticize evil characters and villainous acts.
😈 You are not obligated to teach your audience a moral lesson.

Sometimes your worst fears are true. Sometimes you’ve annoyed a loved one. Sometimes you’ve even upset them or frustrated them.
But you know what? It doesn’t mean they’re done with you. It doesn’t mean they’re going to leave you.
It is normal to be annoying sometimes. It’s normal to not be perfect and to have off days. It’s normal for relationships to not be in perfect harmony all the time.
My point here is, yes, while sometimes they are true, it isn’t the end of everything. It’s actually quite normal. And you’re going to be okay.

I think the internet would be a lot less dumb if we got over this idea of a perfect education and understand that you can't know everything, but you need to keep learning.
I mean, there are all those "why weren't we taught this?" posts when it's like
-Some stuff should be taught and wasn't, but you're in charge of your own growth now
-Some stuff is taught and you weren't paying attention or you might've been paying attention but it was also kinda boring and years before it would be relevant to you so you entirely braindumped it
-Some stuff just isn't reasonable to include in an education for children.
-You need to keep learning new things and re-learning old things. Oh no, you didn't get it all together in your early 20s? Nobody does! The people who think they did are some of the loudest and dumbest motherfuckers on the planet and they tend to work for places like Breitbart and the Daily Wire, and unsurprisingly, despite their penchant for "debate" they can only win against children

Hope ya'll are able to rest this weekend, and that you're able to breathe a little again

Are people forgetting that GO is not written by ONE PERSON BUT TWO. It’s mostly Terry Pratchett’s work. If you want to keep investing in GO, do it in support of him, who’s literal dying wish was to see it made into cinema.
Keep loving Good Omens for those like Terry, Michael Sheen, David Tennant, Jon Hamm, Douglas Mackinnon, and everyone else who helped bring it to life.
The show is a COLLABORATIVE effort. If you no longer feel you can support Gaiman, that’s valid. But don’t disregard the others in the production who did nothing wrong.
