In mine and many other east Asian cultures, the dragon traditionally symbolises things like power, wealth and strength (imperial symbol and all)
I think we often forget that in the story of the Great Race, the dragon came in fifth because it'd stopped to give people rain. Then it'd stopped again to push a rabbit adrift on a log across the wide river so it reached the shore safely (that's why the Rabbit year comes before the Dragon).
Dragons aren't meant to just be powerful - they are meant to do good with such power, and to help those in need.
So in this lunar new year, I hope you gain more power, so that you might be able to help others. I pray you have abundant resources so you may give to yourself and those around you. I wish you courage, endurance, kindness and generosity, for yourself and your people.
I hope you, and I, will be rain givers, life preservers, joy bringers.
I hope we will be dragons.

The hardest part about giving Soundcloud recs to someone who is not acquainted with the platform is convincing them you're not yanking their chain when you suggest they check out an artist called "King Dingus".

If I spent $3k on multicolored water bottles and then found out they were lead-dispensing contraptions, it'd either be my 13th reason or the ensuing cognitive dissonance would be the trigger for a spiral down a conspiracy hellhole that ends with me recreating the events of Dog Day Afternoon (1975) but at my local Target

Crunchyroll buying out and shutting down Funimaton, deleting everyone’s purchased copies, and then hiking up their prices by 200% is just another example of why you should buy physical media. If you want to buy things you actually own, don’t look to streaming.

eggs are most delicious when least touched by fire (so poached, sunny side up, etc declining in quality to over easy, hard boiled). this is because fire cleanses the egg of sin (primary source of flavor). this is also why the objectively most delicious egg is soft boiled (hardened purified exterior traps the delicious sin inside the soft gooey interior), and why scrambled eggs are morally ambiguous

craziest phenomenon on the internet lately is people who will be like “cringe culture is DEAD be WEIRD be FREE have FUN cringe is DEAD do WHATEVER YOU WANT FOREVER!” and then immediately crucify anyone who is queer in a way they don’t like. or wants to kiss a fictional character. or thinks the computer is hot. like ohhh i get it you’re only okay with weird people you personally can tolerate. you are a tar pit

“Oh, you were gone for so long… I thought you forgot about me, so I drank a little…”
Mirien doesn't know how to drink and doesn't like being poured. One more thing: the character was created in a setting where horned devils don't have tails, but there's nothing stopping me from messing around with alternate universes.
