YouTube is implementing an AI policy that tracks your watch history and determines your age with it. The only way to be able to continue watching the videos you want on YouTube if you've been falsley flagged as a minor by their AI is to give YouTube your government ID. This is being implemented in the US right now. It is essential to rage against this and put YouTube in the fucking ground if they continue with it��that may be the only way to make them backtrack. But damn isn't that hard to do when responding to this announcement with a polite but negative comment flags you for violating community guidelines and bans you from even posting it?

I need you folks who are going back to school to understand this, sleep deprivation is not something to be proud of. You are being fed capitalist propaganda to make you believe that working yourself to the bone is a good and smart business model from a young age. If all you do is “get 3 hours of sleep” because you’re studying, you’re just gonna burn out quicker, forget the information you’re trying to cram, and cause your brain to cannibalize itself.

Sometimes it's refreshing to remember that there is no such thing as being objectively right or wrong, there's just people of different perspectives, and someone whose activities or lifestyle are obviously wrong to you might look at you the exact same way.

Came by a discussion about how some people insist that it's normal in a relationship to always be - and always have to be - watching your partner to make sure that they're not cheating. Starting from the assumption that simply having the opportunity to cheat is all it takes, and the only way to keep one's partner exclusive is to systematically eliminate all opportunities to fuck someone else.

And I started thinking, what's the fucking point in that? Trust is supposed to be the foundation of a relationship. That's not even a relationship at that point, you're essentially just playing house with someone that you don't even actually like.

Then I recalled hearing someone else say the same thing about romantic relationships that have no sex. That you're just playing house with someone you don't like. And that was illuminating. Some people will just rather be in a relationship with sex but no trust, or in a relationship with trust but no sex, and think that the opposite side is just flat-out objectively wrong about what a relationship is.

Sometimes you've just go to look at the way that some other people choose to live, and quietly think to yourself: "wow, I would rather kill myself than live like that, but I guess if someone has to be living that way, I'm glad that someone else is doing it."
