it's new years and she's heard of this tradition, so cu gets shafted so that quetzalcoatl can prance up to emer. she cups emer's cheeks gently in her hand, places a kiss upon each cheekbone. "feliz año nuevo, my princess!" and then kisses her properly upon the lips. don't mind quetzalcoatl, she's having a good time.

“cú — cú are you here for your new years ki—-oh?” she watches as her husband gets shoved to the side. “miss quetzalcoatl you need to teach me how to get that strong, I would love to see him be shoved around a few more times.” she chuckles but freezes when the goddess kisses her. not just her cheeks but her lips as well.

I absolutely adore your take on Emer! It makes me wish she was actually in FGO to be honest, your interactions are such a joy to read and I hope that you have a happy new year!

“it’s fine, I’ll just pretend I don’t recognize him when he does show up.” finnscoth huffs a little, her hand curls around the charioteers, stubbornly holding on to him while watching the two grow up talk. she knows her mother well enough to know that the change in topic is for their sake, to somewhat ignore the slight disappointment over the missing family member.

there is a moment of hesitation, with emer glancing onto her hands and trying to find careful words - but she decides that she can be upfront with láeg. “I don’t like him - I know there could be worse kings, the people do not suffer. but as a human, I cannot find anything likable about the man. cú might... see it differently. he sees family and he is loyal. I barely knew her but deirdre and her fate do not leave my mind when I see the king. maybe it’s because I am a woman myself, but... sometimes I wish cú and you would serve a better man.”

busy body is maybe the best description of emer ever . that woman wakes up extremely early, starts preparing food for the day, probably travels to a near town to the market, visits farmers, checks on people near her home who need medical help, returns to finish cooking, listens to servants... somehow she also manages to raise a child? ( + being a second mom to the kids who train under cú ) ?? something tells me that woman never stood still for a second .

I don’t think emer has ever been bothered by what happened in the land of shadows. for one because with ferdiad feelings were involved and if she can forgive one thing then it’s that - besides promise or not, her father did try to marry her to other men, she was aware that they might never get together like they wanted . aífe... well... since emer is only able to have daughters & their times called for a male heir she can somewhat overlook it, besides you bet she would have welcomed connla with open arms as if he were her very own child. so she does not think proto cú has to be conflicted !
