Did you know that (leatherback) turtles eat jellyfish to get high? Yep. Focus, dude! . . Remember the turtle in Finding Nemo? He was portrayed as a stoner cause the poisons inside the jellyfish doesn't actually harm the turtle but instead intoxicates them much like marijuana does for humans. . . And did you know plastics look like jellyfish. That’s why turtles get attracted to plastic. Refuse single use plastic and keep them out of our ocean. I prefer my turtle high. #LoveThemLeaveThemHigh #NoToPlastic #LoveYourOcean #PlasticFree

Cycling my way to yoga class. I stopped practicing 2yrs ago because of a back injury from mountain biking. Now I’m on my 2nd week and I’m looking forward to do yoga again. #ihavethisthingwithbikes #vintagebike #commuter #sustainableliving

I’m trying to live a zero waste lifestyle and baking soda is one of my toxic-free personal care products. Sodium bicarbonate or baking soda, helps regulate pH. It’s perfect for neutralizing acidic odors and maintaining a neutral pH. I use it as a deodorant and sometimes an exfoliant. I just add a little water until it’s paste like and rinse it off. Using it as mouth wash is still a steep learning curve, it feels like sand on my mouth. 😂 . . I also use it to clean my reusable water bottle, my yoga mat, sunburn if I have any. It’s a natural cleaner without the toxic mess of most commercial products. #zerowastelifestyle #zerowasteliving #ecobitch #raw #nofilter

So happy for my second All Women’s Ultra Marathon. Finisher #193 out of 350 runners. My random thoughts acquired: . - Tongue is necessary. . . - Bragging rights is always expensive. But I actually expected there would be more than what’s inside the race kit. Maybe the organizers can work on this next time. 🙂 . . - The good things we desire will arrive in due time. I did not get a slot for 2016 and 2017, as the slots were easily sold out. Thankful to Stacy for helping me get a slot for this year. . . - I only had less than 4 weeks to train and my longest run mileage was only 25km. I’m totally unprepared but I’m happy with today’s result. Ran the 40km but I no longer had the legs from the 41st to 47th km. . . - I already know what giving up feels like. I want to see what happens if I don’t. . . - No support crew for me this year. Being self-sufficient is enough. There were 22 aid stations (sponsored by different running clubs) along the route so I didn’t think it was necessary. I did think about the things that could go wrong but I shifted my focus. I thought more of the things that I can do instead. . . - Produced a fist sized trash made up of 2 Cloud 9 bars & nutrition gels. Brought my own water bottle and mostly ate bananas since it’s organic waste. . . - We ran 3 cities, climbed 3 bridges plus the final assault in Busay. The climbs can be tougher and more difficult with a heavy load. I went as light as possible. . . - Thankful to the volunteers and the guys at KM 25, 27, and 30 who gave my quads a good rub. Regardless how tired I was, I never forget to say thank you. . . - There were times I had to run alone when the field started spreading out. The eerie silence of the poorly lighted road was unbearable. . . - Yep. There are still cat-callers and guys saying: “Pa-uli na sa inyoha oy.” Or “Kapoy kapoy ra man ka.” Just to name a few. Insulting, I know. But these are the realities a woman has to deal with. Like running, we continue to fight and let our voices be heard. . . Women-specific events have such a different feeling. It’s always inspiring to see women of all ages in different shape and sizes to come together, and support each other. #AWUM2018 #Womanimal

On this day, five years ago, I acquired my first mountain bike. It has changed since then from a 26 to a 27.5, single chain ring to a 2x9, hard tail to a full suspension bike. Also, because upgrades. 😂 My babies are growing and our family is getting bigger. My bikes will always be the best relationship I ever have. No one could ever come close. Happy 5th, my love. ❤️🚲 #girlbikelove

If you really want to see marine life — don’t be lazy. Get a dive mask and fins. While you’re at it, invest in a diving lesson. . . “Ocean Parks” take animals away from their natural environment and put them in captivity. Imagine someone doing that to you. #OneBreath #GirlsWhoFreedive

Protect your skin without harming the ocean. Use only reef friendly sunscreen that’s free of these following ingredients: Oxybenzone, Butylparaben, Octinoxate, 4-Methylbenzylidine Camphor, Cylcopentasiloxane/Cyclomethicone. Always check the label. The small things can make a big difference.

Cruising 032 on a pink bike. I’m trying to reduce my carbon footprint and traffic situation in the city is at WTF levels. Plus I get extra cardio since roads here aren’t all flat, but, the city pollution is bad for my lungs. I sometimes end up getting nebulized at the end of the day. I also encounter reckless drivers, the risks of cycling in the city, getting catcalled regardless if I wear a skirt or not. It can be dangerous. And I do get scared sometimes but the thrill of being behind the wheel outweighs all the shit I have to go through. It takes guts and grit to bike this city. #Commuter #CommuterStories #womenscycling #GirlBikeLove #baaw

Would you rather swim with garbage? . . . Instead of complaining with the amount of trash you see at the beach, why not pick it up yourself. Help save our ocean by cutting back on plastic consumption. Use a tumbler instead of disposable cups. Or a re-usable bag when doing groceries. Just remember that the world is 70% water, and whatever trash you produce is likely to end up in the ocean.#OneBreath #ZeroWaste #LoveYourOcean
