"Oh, don't worry. I figured I'd do this the right way this time." She's quick to hold out one of the beers for him - even quicker to take a mouthful of her own. Maybe if she'd come, drink in hand when he'd all but accosted her in the club - or bottle in hand to his place of work.. No, she wasn't stupid enough to think that would have worked, but she could pretend for just a moment. Afterall, there was no right way to waltz on back into his life - any of their lives, but she'd tried. And mostly failed. It ripped a hole in the bottom of her stomach, and she'd not yet figured out how to seal it up. "No, I know we're not done I just... -" Not here, not now. Was it selfish to want a fleeting moment of normalcy with him? Selfish to hope that maybe, he might have wanted that too? " Her own gaze follows his. Daniela hadn't watched the woman walk away so it took a moment before she found her. "... Are you sure?" The question is shaky at best, not out of fear of the answer, rather she wasn't entirely certain that woman wouldn't take offence to Daniela talking to him now. "She looks.. kinda fiesty." And in reality, while it'd been a long time since she'd thrown hands, there was nothing that would really stop her. "Oh, no. I didn't come with anyone." She shook her head, finding startling fascination in the flat head of her beer, "Makes it easier to just, dip out, whenever I want without having to worry about someone else. Plus, I don't need someone else hanging around, perceiving me... judging how much cotton candy I inhale... It's a sore subject."
Since Daniela had walked into Seduction effectively announcing her surprise reappearance in his life, the pair of them haven't really spoken. He'd felt at the time that he'd been able to scratch the surface of the resentment he'd carried for the woman he'd once loved, but there was still so much to say and no safe place to say it. What did it even fucking matter in the end anyway? He could write a short story full of all the things he'd been practicing in his head for the moment (if ever) he saw her again, and it wouldn't change anything. Screaming at her wouldn't unbreak his bones, his heart, his spirit. But there is also his stubbornness and his pride, which must be nurtured and not to be lost in forgiveness.
There's a spiritlessness in Dylan's demeanour as he spots Dani approaching but he greets her with a nod all the same, clocking the extra beer in her hand. "Yeah for now, long as one of those beers is for me," he says gruffly. "We're not done talkin' though." He pivots in place, eyes scanning the booth Lily said she was going to and quickly finding her silhouette flailing her arms animatedly in front of the attendant. "She's not really a date so I'm sure she won't care." He shrugs the suggestion away, moving to stand. "Who'd you come with?"

"Watch them," his hand closed tightly around the prospects shoulder, turning him to face the direction he himself had to look away from. Indeed, Dylan had no reason to listen to him, however, Levent would use their alliance to his benefit regardless of the situation. As it stood, he was already struggling with the knowledge that his daughter was here, twisted tighter still within his chest as he watched Miray come all too close to other members of her operation. "If you take your eyes off of them for even a second, you'll lose them." His eyes. A momentary phone call - an update on his sisters as those tasked with surveillance checked in with him stole his attention for a few fleeting minutes. As it stood, he couldn't control everything, but that certainly didn't mean he wouldn't control as much as he could - with so many snakes around, what choice did he have?

"Someone actually wrote this?" The hidden message booth was... certainly a choice, all things considered, but the attempt at poetry that had been haphazardly slapped across the letter he currently held was enough for second hand embarrassment to pulse in his chest. "Oh, to be a lovesick teenager once again..." He'd rather die than go back to that stage of his life. "Have you received any yet?" If Jason hadn't offered her something from the cheesy, lovesick aesthetic of an event, he'd clip the boys ears.

"We have people watching," like hell he was about to allow his sister around Dante for even a moment without knowing his every move. Especially not now. "I mean it, Derin, if he says anything you don't like I will have his head. I do not care how many people might see." And it was the undeniable truth - regardless of the difference between the serpents and the society, one thing was certain and Levent's cruelty would spark should he hear of a single unsavory comment. If the state of the Gallo sister shocked the city; they'd shatter beneath the horror he'd inflict upon Dante Moretti should the measly shift at the carnival booth be skewed.

"So are you going to tell me anything about this date of yours?" All he'd really known is that she had one, but as he always had since she'd sprung back up into the world he'd torn her father from, Levent did his best to keep up with the charade of being interested in her life. Just enough to keep track of how close she was getting. "Or am I going to have to wait for the spark notes after this thing is over?"

"Come on," he goaded, reaching out with the tip of his boot to gently kick at the back of her knee, if only to throw her slightly off balance. "Nobody else is around." The shit-eating grin he wore never let up - it never did with Stella around. "Take a swing, you must be dying to."

"Take the bear, you fucking menace." the balloon dart booth had fallen to chaos when they'd approached, Rafe hip and shouldering his way through the line as he dragged her with him. Only to aptly lose to the tiny woman - he'd claim it was by choice. All that gentlemanly bullshit that Rafe had never held an ounce of within his body - he was much more proficient hand to hand and he'd die on that fucking hill. "I paid for the thing anyway, so technically... I still won it."

The glint in his eyes held a toxic mix of mischief and hunger as he settled in beside the woman. All too aware of those close by, watching her every move. The little girl that held Oxana's hand oblivious to anything other than the lights that flashed above luring people towards the ferris wheel. "you," he started, the languid drawl of his voice nothing short of the fucking menace that Rafe was known to be. "look about ready to pop, babes."

He sat down, brushing past the pleb who'd been waiting next in line, and very quickly made himself comfortable. Arm thrown across the back of the ornate, plush chair no doubt chosen to further enhance the aesthetic of the fortune teller bullshit. "Add a couple years and a little more crazy and you almost fit the part, princess," a sly remark as he exhaled the smoke from his lungs, letting it pool in the air hovering the cheap looking crystal ball on the table between them. "You need my palm or some shit or would you rather just stare deeply into each others eyes for a little while?"

They were hard to ignore. Watching Hero and McKinley together was like being cast back in time. So far back everything felt right again. Daniela knew that not everyone managed to hold tight to things like that and when McKinley disappeared into the crowd, she couldn't help but saunter up beside Hero. Their last - and first conversation in almost a decade hadn't been the most welcoming, but neither had it been the worst. Whatever hurt she'd caused, he hadn't lashed out at her and that had to mean something. "Looks like some things haven't changed after all.." she nudges him gently, a friendly almost sisterly gesture that mimicked the friendship they'd once had, "You're still absolutely smitten over her."

Avoiding Dylan was no longer priority number one - though, maybe it never had been. He'd been the first one she sought out, even if running into him at the club all those weeks ago might have set that in motion. Even now, despite the discomfort, he was still one of the only people from her past she felt she could breathe around. And maybe, maybe the on the nose nostalgia of the carnival itself forced her hand, but by the time she'd ordered the two drinks and found her way over to him, there was no way she could turn back. "Truce?" She spoke from a few feet away, still not entirely certain if she could actually talk to him without it falling into a sparring match in trying to land a deeper, more painful blow. "-- Think your date would mind if I stole your attention long enough to share a drink?"

Daniela had promised to hold the spot in the line for the fortune teller booth. Sworn up and down that she wouldn't move, even if the bollards corralled them all like livestock anyway - she swore she wouldn't lose her friends spot. The closer she came to the front of the line, however the more antsy she got. Whatever talent of those manning the booth, Daniela knew was all for show - and lacking, but that didn't change the fact that she didn't want someone to tell her about what might be coming her way. She danced, one foot to the other, eyes searching the crowd for her friend to no avail - instead, doe hues fell upon another. Only two places behind her in line. "This is either a horrible coincidence, or you're still following me... and funnily enough, I can't entirely deny the latter." The people in line between them, obviously annoyed, shuffled their way around Daniela to step further up in line, "Trying to find out what the future holds, JB?"

"Do you know that someone painted a penis on your face?" Surely he did - surely he'd noticed the looks some people had given them in passing, the corndog in hand perhaps only solidifying their horror. Bunch of prudes - but still, she had to ask. "I mean, it's a very nicely.. detailed, penis but.. you didn't ask for that, did you?"

The plastic cup that still held at least half of a vodka slushie swirled back and forth in her hand as she poured from the flask of gin she'd stashed in the back pocket of her pants. One, two, three... -- four shots worth. And a pinch of cotton candy. Of course, Daniela wasn't obligated to attend the carnival, but she'd never really been able to shy away from community events. The last ten years had simply found her in other communities, and now.. - well, now the consequences of what she'd done were biting at her ankles like great white sharks, and if she couldn't bury herself in the sand again, the least she could do is get drunk. "Don't look at me like that," she noted with a blossoming laugh, "You used to drink like this too, Jase. With me, if I remember any of those blurry nights correctly."

"We can't all drink away our loveless sorrows, but I made sure they at least poured you a double. Taste tested and everything." Nothing more than a sip - after seeing her work the photo booth the way she had throughout the night, Adam knew she certainly deserved it. "Was that last couple really arguing the whole time? I'm sure those shots came out great."

There was no missing the mocking tone in his voice as he approached the heart break smash booth to find Stella there - and he certainly hadn't missed who she was working the booth with. "Did you rig the system or something? Worm your way out of face painting or fortune telling?"

"I've already considered the repercussions of carving them off entirely, but, then we'd all suffer," he quips back without too much forethought. the kissing booth certainly wasn't his favorite idea, but his shift hadn't been as righteously disgusting as he thought it might have been. Swiping the small handful of napkins - all with names and number scribbled upon them, a few with small lip prints beneath them as if that might further convince Lev to call, he tosses them all into the trash, allowing Addy to pull him from the childish booth. "Oh, I think I'll need several to work through the trauma these lips have suffered tonight." And it didn't hurt that it was the first opportunity to walk away from Miray - even if strings tugged at his heart to stay, just for a chance to see Mina.

ADELINE HAD INTENDED TO come alone. frankly, she was getting tired of events like these. she could show her face in true socialite fashion, laugh and network as one does. but, not at the mercy of another human being, she could quickly leave and go home. however, there are several whom she's happy to say hello to. such as their fearless leader, who she was sure could be either delighted by his assignment or beyond displeased. the duality of men. as he rounds the corner of the booth, adeline is sure to offer him a graceful and pleasent smile. " are your lips sore? " the money cleaner laughs, in a playful manner. she offers him her arm, an offering to lead him away from work and instead relish in the other pleasentries the evening had to offer. " i've heard a drink could help with that. "
