RAD Professional Ballet Exam Success
Congratulations to all our RAD ballet students who took their professional ballet exams last term at Elmhurst and Nothern Ballet Schools.
Martha Moorwood 67 marks, Emelia Cox 69 and Constance Parrish 70 which gave them all High Merits and Ava Williams was awarded 75 points giving her a Distinction! Well done girls!
Our lovley Intermediate girls were awarded three High Merits with Niamh McMillan gaining 68 points, Alice Gibbs 69 and Sylvie Radatz 71. Then Distinctions were given to Sofia Allen with 78 marks and Eloise Rushton with 79.
And last but not least was Mei Newall who gained 77 Distinction for her Advanced Foundation exam!
We are so very proud of you all and know how much practice and dedication it takes to pass these exams!!

New Intermediate Ballet Class
We are starting a brand-new class to replace the former Grade 6, 7, 8 Majors class. This new class will be predominantly learning the IDTA Intermediate ballet syllabus. It is starting on Thursday January 11th. There will be a 45-minute syllabus class 7.00-7.45 followed by pointe class 7.45-8.15. All BCDA teachers have been very enthusiastic about the transition to the IDTA classical syllabus and have seen impressive improvements in technique; in addition, we all are really enjoying learning the new work. The syllabus seems very well thought-out and a pleasure to perform. The class is open to any student who has passed Grade 5 Ballet and does not attend Intermediate RAD class on Thursdays 6.30-7.30. We would particularly recommend it to any students who are in Grade 6 & 7 or Advanced Foundation and would like to further develop their classical technique. There will eventually be the opportunity to take the Intermediate IDTA exam should the necessary standard be achieved..
