What is Bruce’s biggest pet peeve ?

bruce  hates  like …   needless,  tiny  noises   in silent  rooms.   which  is  why they probably come  off as a really severe parent at first to    (the ever talkative and noisy)  dick  because  hey!  are you chewing your nails quietly to yourself?  whistling in an empty room?  tapping your fingers against a table?  creaking in your chair?  sniffling too much?    bruce will find you and they will get you

if anyone  told  bruce  to Switch Out with the  bat   or  told the  bat  to  bring  bruce  out,   that person is  getting Decked in the  mouth  in two seconds flat  bc THEY’RE NOT INTERCHANGEABLE !!!

from the moment alfred gathers dick from the training room to go to bruce, very much like a child, he’s filled with the apprehension of having done something wrong to warrant it, and the vagueness of the request doesn’t help. but he manages to appear innocent enough when he peeks into the room and crosses over to the seat where he’s invited. 

there’s a tension in the room, different from the usual tension, he notices. 

“—-what is it?” he asks, hoping secretly that he’s not in trouble.

  “  you’re not in trouble, “   bruce  immediately  tells him,   sensing  that  slight  hint  of  worry  on  dick’s face  as  he  entered the room.   and,   not to mention, if    bruce    was  dick’s  age ...  they were pretty sure they’d have the same exact  reaction.    straightening  their  back a   little,   bruce  took  a  breath  ( chest inflating,  deflating a  second  later ),  and they  focused  their  gaze  on  robin  with  renewed solemnity  before beginning to  speak  once  more. 

 “  ...    i  need to  talk to  you.    about  something regarding  myself.    i’ve wanted to  tell you  for a  long  time    ...    was  never  sure  how.  “    dick knows  they’re not the best  at talking about  deep inner  feelings,   anyways.     that was kind of  unspoken  knowledge.    expression growing more  solemn,   bruce said:   “ it’s about my  mental health.    and  i  need  you  to  know  in case anything about me  ever ...  changes.   do you understand? “
