Entrep Demo day Pitching Experience.

Our team was selected to present our idea on the entrep demo day pitching product category. It was a really great experience. It was my first time to pitch in front of a large crowd and I was nervous because I am a shy person. We lack time to prepare because we procrastinate and it was really disappointing that our presentation was really affected because of our actions. We are ranked as Fourth place and we fail to be part of the top three winners. It was frustrating but we learned a lot, we should have a better preparation and practice for an event like this. I would like to also extend my heartfelt gratitude to Ma'am Leanne for her support and efforts in mentoring us. The Breeze rizz self charging fan was a really great idea and I hope that this idea will be patented soon.

"Comprehension from the lecture series program."

Entrepreneurial Mind GEE 16 conducted a lecture series program.The lecture series program intends to expose us to various elements of innovation. Speakers were invited to share their knowledge to the students.

Dr. Gamaliela Dumanca discussed the intellectual property rights and technology transfer.I learned that Intellectual property rights (IPR) has a significant role in technology transfer, influencing how innovations are shared and mass produced. Patents, copyrights, trademarks, and trade secrets are common forms of IPR. In technology transfer, organizations often use licensing agreements to permit others to use, develop, or market their patented technologies. These agreements outline terms, including royalties and restrictions. I also learned that it takes 3 years to approve the patent application.

Ms. Jewel Panadero discussed the Prior art search. Prior art search is a crucial step in the process of applying for a patent. It involves searching for existing technologies, inventions, or publications that are similar to the invention being considered for a patent. The purpose is to determine whether the invention is novel and non-obvious.

Ms. Alice Caballeda discussed the start- up ecosystem, these are interconnected network of entrepreneurs, investors, mentors, support organizations, and resources that contribute to the development and growth of startups. The ecosystem includes all the interest groups, without them survival could be crucial.

Ms. Doreen Gersava discusses the start-up journey, the discussion focuses on the start-up journey of Ryan Gersava the founder of Virtualahan. The story inspired me to persevere and continue to move forward and always strive for success.

The 4 hour lecture series program was a day of learning and inspiration. This was a great experience for me as an aspiring entrepreneur to learn from the experts in the field of entrepreneurship. I hope that I can apply all my learnings in the product that we are currently working on.

Experiences on the journey of conceptualizing the venture "Consumed energy power generating portable minifan".

Entrepreneurial mind lessons as a basis, to find an appropriate product we need to observe the problems that needs to be addressed and draw a possible solution for the problem. As students with a entrepreneurial mindset we see those problems as an opportunities. Our team applied these lesson in our actual customer discovery and we interviewed students. We ask them what problems they mostly encounter and experience on a daily basis at home and in school? We discovered that the problem they encounter on a daily basis are monthly bills at home was expensive, and poor air ventilation that causes hot and humid room temperature at school. As a result, we come up with the hypothesis, Poor air ventilation can cause students discomfort. Portable minifan can alleviate hot and humid room temperature. Continuous motion through mechanization could result to battery's self- charging generation that could save electricity.

Our team cooperated and coordinated well to come with the idea of the venture that we want to propose. We conducted a meeting to brainstorm, deliberate and formulate ideas. Every members show cooperation by actively sharing the ideas that they have, and the other members listen and try to analyze if the idea presented is highly attainable. Everyone agreed on the consumed energy power generating portable minifan and we immediately think of resources needed in making this product. The attainability of the resources in crafting a prototype and we also analyze customers needs that's why we come up with the solution to their problems regarding air ventilation. Effective team coordination and cooperation are the backbone of a successful presentation, ensuring a polished unified, and engaging delivery.

The options that our team has come up with last week was, recycled polyethylene plastic tiles that will contribute to the garbage disposal problems and could be an alternative to traditional ceramic and granite tiles.Another idea our team had was paper from dry leaves. Those are some of the ideas our team has come up with last week but we choose a more challenging and interesting product that could give us a rewarding experience if we can successfully make a prototype.

My team and I have learned a lot of lessons last week, I've learned that teamwork could make the dream work, learning about the dynamics of collaboration and the benefits of diverse skill sets.I have learned about the importance of planning which is a key lesson thorough planning when proposing a new venture. This includes market research, financial projections, and a well-thought-out business strategy. Market understanding that is crucial to understand the target market's needs, preferences, and trends. This knowledge is essential for tailoring your proposal to meet market demands effectively. Risk Assessment that is important to gain insights into identifying and mitigating risks associated with your venture. This is crucial for making informed decisions and managing uncertainties. These conclusions can serve as a foundation for your future entrepreneurial endeavors and help you refine your approach to venture proposals.
