The Discord talked about it one time, but one parallel I love in The Nightmare Before Christmas is when, after the climax, Sally was ready to spend her time in the snow alone picking flowers. Even after Jack rescued her from Oogie Boogie and everyone in Town is having fun together, she still expected to be alone.

Which is SUCH a great callback to the beginning of the movie, where Jack Skellington leaves to be alone while everyone else is celebrating Halloween.

They both retreated somewhere they thought they could be alone, only to end up in each other’s company. <3
