Korupsyon kahit sa pandemya

Ang ating lipunan ngayon ay ginagawa ang kanilang makakaya upang maibsan ang kinakaharap nating problema ngayon at para matulungan ang mga taong makabangon. Ngunit, lahat nga ng lipunan ay may madilim na bahagi at syempre yun ay ang korupsyon. Ang ating gobyerno na kilala ng kapwa nating Pilipino bilang korupt, ay hindi pa rin naglalaho.

Kahit sa pandemyang ating kinakaharap, ang korupsyon ay nandiyan pa rin. Kurakot na mga opisyal na nagnanakaw ng kaban ng bayan, kaya rumesulta sa pag-utang natin sa ibang bansa gaya ng Tsina. Ang nagpapatunay nito ay ang pagsara ng Philhealth dahil sa pagkaubos ng pera. Ayon sakanila ay dahil sa pagpapataas ng singil ng mga pribadong ospital sa mga pasyente kaya walang tigil ang pagpapalabas nila ng pera.

Sa paningin ng mga mamamayan ay hinihiling nila na sana ay magtulungan nalang sa halip na maghilahan pababa.

Creative Representation of a Literary Text [Task 1]

This pandemic has brought distress to millions of people. While other countries already allowed going in and out of houses but with the proper use of masks and sanitation, our country has been dealing with it a bit slower. But gladly, it’s been a bit loose lately.

The new normal would be our new way of living; because we can’t go back to how we did before. The usage of masks, and face shields are highly required when going out to public places. Also, maintaining proper social distancing is needed. When receiving guests or inviting a friend over, sanitation is a must.

Also, with the new normal, we have this called distance learning. Even during the pandemic, classes needs to resume for the sake of having additional knowledge during this situation. Students were given the options, whether they’ll opt for online, digital or printed modular. Although, students had a hard time with the sudden change of learning style, parents are always there to help and be the teachers. Some workplaces are opening too, but with the need of swab testing which is highly demanded of the companies.

Everyone in our country are still adjusting with this new normal and we hope that we become understanding and considerate of everyone’s situation. Fighting!

Ang paggamit ng teknolohiya ay naging isang mahalagang bahagi ng proseso ng pag-aaral sa loob at labas ng klase. Ang bawat klase ay karaniwang gumagamit ng ilang anyo ng teknolohiya. Ginamit ang teknolohiya upang makakatulong sa kapwa at mapabuti ang pag-aaral ng wika. Pinapayagan ng teknolohiya ang mga guro na iakma ang mga gawain sa silid-aralan, sa gayon napapahusay ang proseso ng pag-aaral ng wika. Patuloy na lumalaki ang kahalagahan ng teknolohiya bilang isang tool upang matulungan ang mga guro na mapadali ang pag-aaral ng wika para sa kanilang mga nag-aaral.

Ang paggamit ng teknolohiya ay nakakatulong sa pagbibigay unawa sa pagbabahagi ng konseptong pangwika. Dahil lahat ng nasa Pilipinas hindi magkakatulad ang dayalek na sinasalita, mauugnay pa rin naman tayo dahil sa ating magkatulad na linggwahe (Tagalog). Kahit anong salita pa man ang ating ginagamit mapa-tahanan o Ekolek, mapa-dayuhan o Pidgin, kahit mapa-personal pa na paggamit ng wika, gamit ang teknolohiya napapalapit lahat ng tao para magkomunikasyon kahit saang sulok pa ng mundo. Kaya dapat amitin natin ang teknolohiya upang makabagi ng kaalaman sa iba tungkol sa ating wika o kaya’y sa mga kapwa nating Pilipino.

Critique of the movie “Get Out”

The movie starts off with a young black man going on a trip to meet his white girlfriend’s parents. From the start of the movie, it is clearly evident what was the topic or focus of the movie, racial discrimination. The movie then became suspicious as Chris, played by Daniel Kaluuya, arrived at the Armstrong’s residence.

When Rose introduced Chris to her family, they greeted him merrily. But, as the conversation starts, the parents brought up how Rose didn’t tell them about having a black boyfriend. Which, they emphasized that being black is different. While roaming around the house, as Chris became uncomfortable, he saw two helpers of the family, a maid and a gardener, both black. He can’t hide how he felt when he saw them, as he remembered how blacks are being used as slave years ago.

It happened that the Armstrong family is celebrating a gathering for their deceased relative, Rose’s grandfather. During the party, Chris took photos of the guests, as photography is his talent. The party was full of white people, until he saw a young black man and approached him. The man introduced himself as Logan, who is with an old white woman who is his wife. Chris felt something was wrong with all the black people in the place; they talk weirdly, as if they were hypnotized.

The man seemed familiar to him, but he can’t remember. He took his phone and called his friend, Rod from TSA and told him about what was happening and about Logan who looked familiar. When Chris took a photo of Logan with flashes turned on, Logan became aware of himself and yelled at him “Get out”. He got goose bumps all over and also me when I came across that part.

Rose and Chris went out for a walk and talked about the way Logan reacted. As they were talking the members who attended the gathering did an auction. And yes, it was Chris that is being auctioned, with many people raising the prices to get a black man, the reason, still unclear.

Chris wanted to go home as he remembered that Mrs. Armstrong hypnotized him the night before and Rose seemed to understand. They both head back to the house to pack things, until Chris saw a box full of Rose’s photos. The photos that were kept were all of Rose’s previous boyfriends, who are all black, including the maid, the gardener and Logan. From that point onward the harsh truth that Chris had to face is of big weight.

Chris rushed to get out of the house, but Rose couldn’t find the key and her family is blocking the way as they’ve figured out that he sensed something. It turned out that they are abducting black people, not the harsh way of abducting but everyone who falls for Rose’s charm are being brought to the house noting that all are black. Mrs. Armstrong hypnotized Chris and he felt his soul go deep into a place of darkness and he can’t get out.

The most awaited revelation is when Chris found out that the reason for abducting blacks is to use some parts of their body or transfer an old man’s brain to a young black man, which is why Mrs. Armstrong studies hypnotism and why Mr. Armstrong is a neurosurgeon. Although Chris managed to escape, the feeling of almost dying was present throughout the end and note that the whole Armstrong family died, partly because of his strong will to live and anger on behalf of those blacks that are mistreated and are only looked upon as worthless.
