Hosta ‘June’ single- handedly converted me to hostas. My mother disdained them and called them funkias (which I guess is a real name for them) so I never paid attention but then I saw this beauty at a plant nursery and I haven’t looked back since. <<heart eyes>>

I had the strangest sensation while walking part of the lake path yesterday morning but I’m not sure I captured any of it. It was a feeling of walking along the rim of a precipice, at the edge of a chasm, and far below was this landscape of clouds. It was so intense that I got light-headed (I promise no intoxicants were involved) and I felt I had to step back from the edge or I might fall in, as if I were at the edge of the Grand Canyon. Plants that extended out of the water looked like they were floating in thin air. Then as I walked around the end of the peninsula the sensation was gone.
I also saw ravens on that walk and on the drive home a bald eagle flew low over the road right in front of the car. Just one of those days I guess.
