After more than a year of working from home, while out on errands you buy buko juice at Red Robin (pre-pandemic everyday lunch routine) and the Ate manning the booth practically jumps at the sight of you, instant recognition in her eyes despite the face mask, face shield, and size difference, and proceeds to ask you how you've been doing... I found it to be a kind of emotional moment. 🥺

I hope that despite the situation they continue to fight to stay open, and that one glorious, mask-less day in the future I get to buy buko juice and lemonade (and brownies and pizza rolls and siomai!!!) from them again. ❤
