He waited, letting her find the words that she needed. Derek could tell that this time, whatever she had saw? It was bad. Lydia never took this long to tell him what was going on. When she finally did start talking, the struggle was very apparent. Brows furrowed together, as he tried to piece together what she was trying to tell him. So far it didn’t sound like anything new. That was until she finally finished. Actually, if he was being honest with himself that still wasn’t too far fetched. It was the fact that Lydia was so shaken up about this, that was bothering him so much.

After a pause, lips pressed together into a thin line. “Do you know when?” The question was probably pointless. He knew that it didn’t work like that, but perhaps something was different this time? Probably not, but it never hurt to ask nonetheless. Pinching fingers against the bridge of his nose, his head shook once. “I don’t know what I’m suppose to do about this, Lydia.” He admitted freely to the redhead. Derek was at a loss here.

She wondered absent and idly, just how incoherent she must sound. How difficult what she was saying might have been to parse. It hardly made coherent sense in her own head, and she was the one forming the words. Something sharp and acrid tasting bloomed on the back of her tongue. Like stomach acid and copper. Fists unclenched, fingers stretched, flexed. Shook her hands loose and she scrubbed one agitatedly through her hair and leveled a frustrated stare at the werewolf, "No. Soon maybe? Possibly? I don't know. It isn't like the visions come with convenient timestamps a la cellphone cameras Derek--" she bit down sharp on the rest of the sentence and drew in a centering, calming breath. "It was... different than the other things I've seen. It was almost like I--" she blanched, "It was almost like I was the one... doing it. The... killing and eating. I mean. I don't know what to do either. I was the one you found wandering barefoot in the woods like an MTV scream queen murder victim."

FOLLOW FOREVER!!!!!!

I’M SO HUMBLED GUYS! I just hit 100 followers on here which is AMAZING. I’ve never hit that milestone on here so YAYE. And as a thanks here’s a follow forever and a few of my favorite baes. I haven’t written with all the people I’m about to list, but I still wanted to put this out there since it’s more about possitivity for people on here and I wanted them to know that I appreciate them all @trigger-and-wings LEXI –so FUN FACT. Me and Lexi were in this rpg back in 2016? And she was the first person I ever shipped with on here, we have since never stopped interacting although now a days i think we have more OOC interactions than IC. ANYWAYS she made me feel safe and encouraged me to make my formerly Bellatrix only account into a multi-muse and she also decided that we would continue our ship even after I was no longer in the rpg, for that I’ll always love her. She basically made sure that I could get to this point and made most of my threads a reality, I wouldn’t have had as many threads (or ships) as I have now if it wasn’t for her. @effymccall I AM SO SORRY BUT LEGITIMATELY I SHIP OUR BABIES SOOO HARD!  Me and Amanda spend so much time discussing our ship  and even when we don’t we talk OOC and i just ADORE HER AND EFFY!!! She’s so kind and i honestly think we’ve talked every day since we started plotting and did I mention I FRICKING LOVE HER!!! @thetruealphasmccall LIIIILLLY! Honest to god I adore Lily and although we don’t talk too often I know she’s there and I know I can trust her. She’s in a rpg so she can’t always be on this account, and like anyone else she has stuff going on in her life but that doesn’t matter and anyone who gives her a hard time WILL HAVE TO ANSWER TO ME CAUSE LILY IS SOOOO SWEET AND KIND!!  I lowkey just wanna wrap her in a blanket and hug her \ ( ^.^’ ) /  @facetiious MADDY IS SO KIND AND SO GOOD! No but listen, maddy is lowkey my favorite Malia on here AND she is an amazing person OOC. I always send her too many memes and I always get a bit nervous cause i know that even if you always tell your followers you want memes, you might not always ACTUALLY want it all the time. But I don’t actually mind it and i’m not about to stop cause I love Maddy and Malia @bansheeshrieks OH MY GODS, THIS IS BEAN(or moira if you prefer). SHE IS PERFECTION She is perfect and amazing and I DON’T EVEN KNOW HOW TO DESCRIBE HER CAUSE SHE’S TO MUCH! She’s so dramatic and hilarious, and I love her portrayal of Lydia. I love Bean sooooooo much and she’s one of my favorite people on here. I think we have more OOC interractions but to be honest I do love our chats :)

@ofthcrnedrcses To be completely honest, i love Ari’s character sooo much and even though we don’t interract too often I always love our threads when we do interract :) I’d honestly love to have even more threads going and perhaps even use more of my muses, so hit me up

Derek rolled his eyes as well. For someone who was one hundred percent honest with everyone around her, Lydia was sure holding back on him. Derek grinned, discarding the towel to focus on her. ‘‘You know, friend, if you want to call me an idiot, you can. Unlike everyone else, I won’t bite your head off for such comments. And before you ask, you’re doing the same face I do whenever I get un overwhelming urge to kick Stiles and Scott for being idiots.’‘ 

Lydia crossed her arms, and felt her mouth pull down in what was undoubtedly an irate pout, "You know friend, putting emphasis on a single word when you're trying to make some kind of point, just sounds ridiculous. You are an idiot. But yo're my idiot so I guess I'll keep you around--" she toos her hair over one shoulder. Loose pile of softly scented curls that fell to the small of her back, "And I would never kick you, there are far better methods for torturing you."

Scott wasn’t going to object, he was used to his friend leading the way and him following happy. He just smiled at the thought of making the flower crown look even better.·“We go over the graphs every time we wanna have a sleepover, my mommy always says yes!”·He insisted as they walked towards the soccer field. Well, sometimes she said no but that was only if they had family coming into town or they had some sort of plans already with the Stilinski’s. Lydia’s birthday was something he had been planning for. He had told his mom that he had to get her the best present ever, because she was his second best friend and that’s what best friends do.

At least he wasn't complaining this time, it was always difficult trying to get people to do her bidding when they wanted to complain. Besides, she and Scott needed to have the best looking, matching flower crowns because they were best friends. She didn't care what Stiles had to say on the subject, "I know, but being prepared is the key to executing good battle strategy--" she sniffed, but wound their fingers together anyway while she surveyed the soccer field for flowers that wouldn't make Scott wheezy.

Lydia fisted her hands at her hips and squinted, "Your flower crown needs more flowers. C'mon. I saw some over at the soccer field--" she didn't give Scott an opportunity to object, she had a timeshare with Stiles and she was using up all her allotted time properly. Which was making sure Scott looked excellent for picture day. "And my birthday is this weekend and mommy says you're allowed to spend the night if your mommy says it's okay which means you have to spend the night. I made a chart. There are graphs and I wrote you notes on how to talk to your mommy so she says yes." She clutched his hand in hers, sticky from snacktime and started dragging him across the playground.

Lydia is six the first time grandma Lorraine has an episode. Lydia doesn't like Eichen House, or what it does to grandma, and mommy won't listen when Lydia tries to tell her that the doctors can't help grandma because grandma isn't broken. She tries. Repeatedly and in increasingly creative fashions until one day mommy seems to finally hear Lydia. Or at least, Lydia assumes as much, since it leads them sitting across from Talia Hale who is tall and pretty and smells like cinnamon. Lydia likes Talia Hale. She wants to grow up to be her, as soon as Talia and mommy start talking about werewolves, and magic, and banshee magic. Of course by then Lydia has lost all interest in the adult conversation and has eeled off the dining room chair and butt scooted out of the room to find the Hale children gathered at the door like they weren't eavesdropping eavesdroppers. Lydia knows she isn't supposed to, but she bites Laura Hale anyway -- "It's rude to make fangs and claws at little girls." To say that it's an auspicious first meeting... might be overstating things a bit. It becomes normal for Lydia to ride the bus home with the Hale kids, Lydia even has ballet with Cora, who seems more interested in irritating their dance teacher than learning how to pliet. Lydia likes Derek best. He likes books and she likes books. Therefore, they are going to grow up to be best friends. She even makes him a friendship bracelet for his birthday. It doesn't matter that he's a little bit older and probably he doesn't want a little kid following him around demanding things of him, but Lydia is smart she knows she is. Mommy won't let her skip any grades because she needs to learn how to --"Socialize normally, I don't know why she thinks I'm getting that with werewolves--" Lydia waves her half finished pb&j around and lets her feet kick the cabinet doors, "And my classmates are troglodytes. There's not a good minion amongst any of them." Lydia is a slightly terrifying seven year old.

A concept: Natalie Martin knew that Lorraine was a banshee, and knew about the supernatural world, and by extension the Hales. So when Lydia was born, Natalie went to Talia and from there it was normal for Lydia to be present at Hale gatherings, or just. Hanging out, running wild with the assorted Hale children and cousins and various hangers-on.

Okay but just imagine, elementary school aged Lydia, on the playground at recess and all the girls want to play princess and Lydia wants to be one but she also wants to fight the dragon, Lydia in third grade standing on top of the jungle gym brandishing a stick shouting “I WILL FIGHT ALL OF THE THINGS!” While below the princess she’s supposed to ‘save’ cackles hysterically because Lydia Martin is terrifying and the smallest person in their grade.
