Was minsvga part of your bookclub? I'm not sure if they became a different blog or if they deleted their blog. I'd like to reread one of their fics but I can't. I've been looking for ages and I'm near giving up. If you could direct me to a solution that would make me happy. I am sorry for bothering with this message.
hi there - you're not bothering us at all! minsvga was part of our bookclub but unfortunately they've deactivated their blog (they've only deleted it recently but it'd been inactive for a while before that). sorry about that

IMPORTANT NOTICE - 24/06/19
Hello all BBC-members and followers!
I’m done with exams (finally) and I’m going to be dusting out all the old cobwebs that I’ve let gather during this time; in short - I’m giving the network a deep clean.
I am aware that our members are most likely fed up with how listless the net has been, and I am guilty of putting aside my admin responsibilities. And with the wacky updates tumblr likes to throw at us, there was really no better reason for me to kick myself into actually sorting everything out.
Here is a list of things I will be doing in the course of the next few weeks so that the rug isn’t completely pulled from under your feet:
Making some rule adjustments
These won’t be anything too outlandish, just some additions about tagging (any members who have published any work into the net tag before the rule rewrite post is made will not be affected, but failure to read and adhere to the rules afterwards is a different story).
Queuing updates
Plenty of you fantastic writers have posted wonderful content that I have neglected to share onto the network, so I will be filtering through all of that and bringing some life back into the network!
The library
I’ve been alerted that our library recc page has violated some content rules and so is currently blocked. I’ll be troubleshooting that and hopefully I’ll have that done soon.
Recommendations
I’ll be briefly opening up the opportunity to have both net and non-net members to recommend their favourite themed fics (and yes! That means the BBC monthly prompts are coming back into action - if all things go to plan - in time for August).
Member Check-ups
A week from today (the 24th of June), I will be removing all net members who have been inactive for over 1 month, those who do not have the network linked in their about/blog pages, and those who have not notified the net of any url changes or hiatuses.
Please note that this is a one-for-all warning, so if you have any broken links please fix them, and if you have any url changes, please notify the net immediately!
If you have any issues at all, please send the net a message! I would hate to remove anyone unnecessarily!
Thank you for all your patience, and I’m hoping to bring back the BBC that so many of you love.

ADMIN PSA
Hello there!
I’m sure many of the net followers and members have noticed the dwindling activity on the network. We apologise for this inconvenience - the admins have all just been caught up with work and life in general.
We ask that you bear with us a little while, during the time we get things up and running again, so that the BBC can be active again.
This has just been a notice so that nobody is confused (and also so that we don’t sound like broken records).
Thank you!

chemicals | alterations | .01
Tumblr media
pairing: min yoongi X reader warnings: frank discussions of mental health & medication; swearing; yoongi being lovely words: 462
Tumblr media
He knows what’s happening before she says anything. He always does. One look at her curled up on the couch, wrapped tightly in a blanket with her hair dishevelled and pizza boxes strewn haphazardly around the floor, and he understands.
He walks gently over to her, being careful to close the door behind him, and kneels by her head on the carpet.
“Honey?” he whispers, ghosting a hand over her hair. “Are you awake?”
She nods hesitantly, hoping he doesn’t see the tear tracks on her cheeks as her head moves, or the way her voice cracks when she forces out a gruff affirmative hum. He does, of course. He always does.
Yoongi notices everything. From the way she looked when they first met to the way she saves extra food for him under the guise of being too full when he comes home late. From the almost painful glimmer in her eye when she’s proud of herself to the way she looks now. He notices how she’s wearing the same pyjamas he saw her in three days ago. He notices how her bins are overflowing with takeaway containers. He notices how she obviously hasn’t showered in a while, and he knows she’ll mind that more than he does.
“I feel awful, Yoongi”, she almost whimpers from beneath a mouthful of blanket. She shakes her head out and turns to look him in the eye for the first time. “It’s been such a bad day and I haven’t even done anything.”
Seeing her like this breaks his heart a little bit. Watching the fiercely strong-willed young woman he adores battle the demons he fought himself hurts more than he’ll ever willingly admit to her. But he knows she’s trying, and he knows this is part of that.
“Do you think it’s the new meds?”
“What else could it be?! It’s not like I was this incapacitated a week ago. Nothing’s changed except the new chemicals in my fucked-up brain.”
He knows he shouldn’t take her anger personally, but it’s hard not to. He knows it’s a result of the serotonin and dopamine in her head being reorganised and reshuffled to make room for brighter and better things, but he wishes the chemicals knew what to beat down and what to build up. He wishes he could tell them to just attack the bad guys, make her smile again, stop destroying her in the process of making her whole.
He flashes through so many responses before finally settling on one he thinks will encapsulate everything he’s feeling at that moment. His desire to help; his anguish at her turmoil; his immense and infallible love for her. It’s simple, but it works. Yoongi knows what to say. He always does.
“What can I do?”
Tumblr media
⥇ A/N: For those who followed me from sugachki, you’ll know Chemicals. For everyone else, I hope you enjoy her. Thank you for being here; I think she’s ready to see the light again.

06. House of Cards
A story based on the fictional HYYH world about six boys with unimaginable problems and their friend that can’t do anything to help.
Member: Yoongi
Genre: Angst
Warning: warnings are in my masterlist
Word Count: 4.4K
Parts can be found on my Masterlist under “The Most Beautiful Moment In Life”
A/N: New parts every Tuesday and Friday
Tumblr media
It wasn’t long before we’d break apart, shatter like a glass vase on the tile floor.
March.
Min Yoongi let out a heavy sigh, leaning way back in his computer chair until his spine gave a satisfying crack. He’d been sitting hunched forward at his desk for hours now and this song he’d been working on for the past two weeks was just starting to finally take shape. His stomach growled and he glanced up at the corner of his monitor to see that three hours had passed since the last time he checked. Which meant he hadn’t eaten anything in almost six.
Just a little bit longer, he thought and rolled his shoulders before leaning back in.
The sound of a groan and the crunch of couch springs came from the room next to him and Yoongi pushed back in his chair again to peer through the doorway.
“Kook-ah,” he cracked, his voice raspy from not being used in so long. “Are you getting up?”
The maknae groaned again but sat up, his eyes still shut and his bottom lip jutting forward in a sleepy pout.
“You need to get going soon so you aren’t late for school.”

You prepare for the best case scenario: shower, shave, perfume, hair at least brushed and lips at least balmed. You dress as nicely as you can manage and leave before you can talk yourself down.
One painfully slow walk later and you find yourself reaching up to ring his doorbell. There’s no going back now, you reason. Might as well see what happens.

Second Chance Love
Tumblr media
Credit to whoever made this gif
Pairing: Daycare owner!Hoseok x single mom!Reader (mentions of Jungkook x reader and appearances from Jimin)
Genre: S2L, Fluff with a side of angst
Word count: 8.1k
Warnings: Death
Summary: When you first walk into Sunshine Daycare and meet an orange haired man named Jung Hoseok you don’t expect him to be anything more to you than the guy who watches your son during the day. Then day by day he weasels his way into your heart until you’re left wondering what to do. Can you really love someone when a piece of your heart still belongs to someone else?
You feel a tug on your arm and look down seeing your little three year old with a tight grip on your sleeve. You smile gently down at him before carefully removing his hand from your sleeve and holding it instead. You can tell he’s apprehensive to enter the daycare center that looms over you both and crouch down to be eye level with him. “What’s wrong Kai?” You ask noticing his glossy eyes upon further inspection.
“I don’t want to go in.” His voice is soft, barely a whisper, and nearly gets lost amongst his sniffles.
“Aww bunny I’m sorry. I’d love to go home too but Mommy has to go to work.” You gently smooth down his hair and bring him into a tight hug. He nestles his head into your neck, his large round glasses cool against your skin. Gently rubbing his back you quietly shush him, holding him close until you no longer hear his sniffles. “I put a special surprise in your lunch you know. But you can only open it if you promise me to go inside and try to have fun.” Kai clutches onto you tighter before taking a big breath and pulling away.
“Okay.” He pouts and in response you kiss all over his face until he starts giggling.
“It was your daddy’s favorite.” You wink causing his distinct bunny grin to grow even wider.
“Can we see daddy later today?” Your heart wrenches a bit at the thought but you hid it behind a bright smile.
“Sure thing bun. Now come on, your new friends are waiting.”
The inside of the daycare center is bright, the walls splattered in color. One of them even has a forest scene with little animals scattered about it. Over the counter you can see and hear children running and screaming, which makes Kai clutch onto your hand even tighter. Picking him up, you place him on your hip so he can see over the barrier. “See they’re just playing. You have nothing to worry about.” Kai watches with pursed lips, carefully observing the children before him. His eyes grow wide and his mouth opens as he notices a little girl sitting against the wall by herself watching the other children play. When she looks his way after feeling his stare, he quickly turns his head and hides in your shoulder. “Maybe you should go say hi to her.” You suggest struggling to hide the giggle that your son may be developing a little crush.
Before you could tease him, a man with bright orange hair emerges from out of seemingly nowhere with two children hanging off his arms. “Hi I’m Hoseok.” He smiles before stretching out a hand. The child is still limply hanging off his arm and you wonder how strong this guy really must be since your arm gets sore just from holding up your straightener and curling iron. The man’s smile drops and only then do you realize you’ve been blankly staring at him.
“Oh I’m sorry.” You awkwardly laugh, grabbing onto his hand to shake it. “I’m Y/N, nice to meet you.”
“And what’s your name little man?” Kai worriedly looks at you with wide doe eyes.
“It’s okay to tell him your name. He’s not a stranger.” He looks at Hoseok again with pursed lips before mumbling out, “Kai.”
“Nice to meet you Kai.” Hoseok smiles before extending a hand towards your son who gingerly takes it. “I like your backpack. Do you like superheroes?” Kai nods eagerly and points towards his Iron Man backpack.
“He’s my favorite.”
“Well if you want to come inside we have some Iron Man toys you could play with.”
“Is that okay Mommy?” Kai asks turning back towards you. Nodding you set him down before kissing him once on the crown of his head and then once on each cheek.
“Be good for me today okay? I’ll be back in a bit to pick you up.” Kai eagerly nods before dashing behind the gate Hoseok had opened. You watch after him with sad eyes before he turns around and runs back. Gripping your legs in a tight embrace he mumbles out an I love you before dashing over to the toy box.
“So what time will you be here to pick him up?” Hoseok asks, stealing your attention away from your son.
“I get off at 5 so probably around 5:15 or so. Does that work for you?” Hoseok nods.
“Well I guess I’ll be on my way then. Thanks again Hoseok. Bye bun!” You wave before turning towards the door, dreading each step that takes you further from the light of your life.

Tumblr media
⥇ pairing: kim taehyung X reader ⥇ warnings: angst; A Roller Chair ⥇ words: 511
Tumblr media
“I dreamt about you last night.”
He drops it casually, like you’re discussing newspaper headlines over morning coffee. A ritual you wish your mind didn’t keep attempting to reconnect with.
You do your best to belie the deep curiosity you feel by barely looking up from your desk and nonchalantly raising an eyebrow. “Hm?”
“Yeah,” he continues, rolling his desk chair around the cubicle to more conveniently ingratiate himself into your morning, “We were back at Jin’s birthday party last year. Weird what the subconscious digs up, huh?” He has his usual boxy smile on but you’re sensing a tinge of sadness just behind the front. Or maybe it’s indigestion.
You study Taehyung’s face carefully for any sign of… anything, really. Anything more than the overwhelmingly polite and obscenely respectable visage he’s held up for the last two months, three weeks, four days, and approximately seven hours. But who’s counting?
You might be.
Seeing nothing needing attending to in the workplace, and thus hopefully never again, you offer a cursory exhale through the nostrils with a mechanical “Yeah” thrown in for good measure before attempting to turn back to your daily task of emailing everyone who’s ever seemed to exist. Whatever: you get paid and your boss gets her free time. It’s a win-win situation – except when confronted with moments like these.
You’re hoping Taehyung will get the message by now, yet he hasn’t returned to his side of the tiny square you cohabitate – a design decision which in hindsight worked a lot better for you two months ago. He’s just rolling backwards and forwards, breathing your air and making a concerted effort to ensure you acknowledge him today.
So you pause emailing the Duke and Duchess of Winnipeg, or whoever it is this time, RE: magenta place settings to actually see what it is he might want.
“We had fun back then, didn’t we?”
You can see it now. The wistfulness. You know it well, because it’s the exact same look threatening to overtake your features if you don’t grab a hold of yourself right at this moment. You sigh, and compose yourself as best as possible.
“Yeah, Tae. We did.”
He looks to the ground, rolling on his red racerback desk chair – an ‘investment’ he repeatedly threatens to quit without.
“I’m sorry.” He says. Again.
You knew it was coming, and you know it’s probably always going to keep coming. But it won’t stop hitting you in the gut each time.
“Don’t be.” You say. Again.
He knew it was coming, and for a mere moment you can see the flicker of… annoyance? exasperation? cross his features. But then the wistfully apologetic humanoid you’ve come to relearn as Kim Taehyung returns.
“It was a nice dream.” He says. He smiles at you, head tilted gently like he’s picturing you there in his mind. Frankly you’re not sure he has that right any more. Can you ask for memories back once someone betrays the right to enjoy them?
But you figure you can give him this.
You smile. “I’m glad.”

Those who are Broken | Prologue
Tumblr media
Jimin x reader | soulmate au | high school au | fluff | angst | eventual smut | swearing | death | violence
word: 971
Everyone has a soulmate. Except for those who are Broken, and that hurts you the most.
She sat on the rickety, wooden chair in silence. Her head down with strands of blonde hair falling loose from the bun it was in. The great hall filled with around three to four dozen people, all murmuring to one another as they waited for the headmaster to enter. She would be lying if she said she wasn’t scared.
All these people, every single one of them looking at one another like they were either the enemy, or they were prey. Any second now one of them would leap out of their chair and attack someone for no reason.
Why?
Because they had that look of pure hate in their eyes. But not her though. No. Not her. She makes one mistake and she ends up here with everyone else. A mistake she made without really thinking. A mistake she would do again if it meant—
A red-haired girl next to her scoffed, catching her attention. “I cannot believe we are in the same room as them,” she said, a look of disgust on her face as her blue eyes scanned the room.
A brunette on the other side of the redhead leaned forward in her seat. “I know,” she agreed, an eager look on her face as if she wanted praise from the blue-eyed female, but she received nothing.
The blonde looked forward again, her hand immediately going to her wrist where the inked name would be. Out of nervousness and fear, her thumb began to rub over the name. It was calming, but not enough.
The read-haired girl spoke again, “This school should separate us from them. They’re not worth the space anyway. They’re nothing but low-life dead beats who don’t deserve to be in the presence of someone like us.”
The blonde’s eyes scanned the room. Everyone looked the same—no one looked different. However, she knew better. Somewhere in this crowed there were people that were different. People who had different fates compared to her. People who were…
“They’re Broken. People like them don’t deserve to exist,” the redhead said, shaking her head.
“I feel bad for them,” the blonde quietly confessed, only to immediately regret ever letting those words escape past her lips.
And much to her displeasure, the two girls next to her heard. “You feel bad for them?” The redhead derided in disbelief. “They deserve what they got. You know the story, don’t you?” The blonde said nothing, trying to remember what story the girl next to her was talking about exactly. The girl sighed in disbelief. “Every Broken did something horrifying in their past life to end up like they are now. Destined to die alone.” The redhead leaned back in her seat, crossing her olive-skinned leg over the other. Her black skirt rose higher. “People like us, the Non-Broken, did nothing wrong. That’s why we have these.” She lifted her left arm up, revealing the black inked name on her inner wrist. “Soulmates.”
“But,” the blonde began, her mind telling her to shut the hell up, “doesn’t everyone deserve a second chance?”
The two girls laughed. “You’re joking, right?” When the blonde said nothing again, the red-haired girl leaned towards her. “What did you do?” she asked, her voice laced with curiosity.
“Excuse me?” she asked, leaning back a bit by the sudden closeness the redhead gave.
The girl eyed her questioningly. “Everyone in this room did something bad to end up here, so what did you do?” After several seconds of the blonde fidgeting in her seat, and the two girls eyeing her, the redhead spoke, “You attacked her, didn’t you?”
The blond froze, and that was all the redhead needed. Laughing with excitement, the redhead leaned back into her seat. “You attacked your soulmate’s girlfriend.”
“Ah,” the brunette whispered in understanding.
“You realized that your soulmate was dating someone, and you couldn’t take it. You knew he was your soulmate, but you probably weren’t his.” She eyed the blonde. “You couldn’t take the thought of knowing that your soulmate was dating someone—whether they were his soulmate, or not. That’s why you’re here.” She shook her head, laughing. “He may not be your soulmate, but be glad you’re not Broken.” She lifted her inked arm. “Welcome to Cross Academy.”
A gasp was heard, and the murmuring grew louder, drawing the blonde’s attention away from the two next to her. A small group was growing, people looking over one another to see what was happening. The blonde got up and walked towards the gathering crowd. Pushing herself through, she made it to the front. A gasp escaped her lips.
On the ground was a young girl. Her body spasming, eyes wide and practically white. Foam forming at the mouth. She continued for several minutes while people around her did nothing but watch. Finally, she went still.
The group dispersed, as if what they saw was nothing horrifying. The sound of tongue clicking came from next to her. Turning her head, she watched the red-haired girl cross her arms over her chest, shaking her head. She had no remorse for the dead girl.
“This is why you should never associate with a Broken. They’re not worth the air you breathe, or the time they have left.” The two girls walked away.
The blonde looked around, and finally she discovered the difference. The difference between a Broken and people like her.
The Broken remained at the circle—every single one of them either frightened, angry, or both. These people were Broken. These people were the ones with the countdown on their wrist. The others who left were the ones with a soulmate—the ones who got to live.
With a bit of hesitation, the blonde left the group of Broken.
Don’t bother with the Broken. They’re going to die anyway, she told herself.

schrödinger’s cat
Tumblr media
➾ guardian angel! jimin x reader
➾ schrödinger’s cat: a quantum mechanic thought experiment where a cat is placed in a box with radioactive material. if the box is not opened by the observer, the cat is thought to be both alive and dead at the same time. if the box is opened, the observer becomes entangled with the cat in its multiple dead or alive states. it is often used to express the ‘many worlds’ interpretation of quantum mechanics.
