tw: eating disorders

as many of you may know it is national eating disorder awareness week and i wanted to share my story. i started to hate my body when i was around six because that was when i switched to a new dance studio and they never put me in the right classes for my age and skill level because they hated i didn't start with them, so i felt fat and ugly because i was always with younger kids. this hit its worst point when i was eight and i started to starve myself. it got to the point that i would eat maybe one meal a day, and that made me feel so guilty and ended up with me giving myself a second ed. i started binge eating. it was so bad when i was younger i would starve myself for weeks, feel guilty and binge for a few days, rinse and repeat. and it stayed this way for years and even now eleven years later i still find myself slipping into these habits again. i have gotten therapy and am working on getting better, but these are a part of me and always will be and i don't think that i will ever be free from them. another thing i will never forget is how my family and those close to me when i was younger would never notice when i was barely eating, but would always point out when i was on a binge session. to those who know me in real life, i am getting help and am getting better about food so please don't lecture me about this irl.

i love all these people using the song “do you hear the people song” from les mis when my high school show choir sang it last year and all i can think of is the choreo they had for it. will always be glad i never had to dance it and got to vibe backstage doing my crew shit.
